Thursday 6th June marked the 80th anniversary of the D-Day landings where over 156,000 allied servicemen stormed the beaches of Normandy.
Two Falklands serviceman, Flt Lt Norman McCleod & Field Nurse, First Class Robert Rumbolds took part in the operation during World War 2.
We joined members of the community in an act of remembrance at Moody Brook where a beacon was lit by the Fire & Rescue Service.
