The Olive Tree is something new & exciting for Spalding…
Coming early august, it’s our idea of the perfect venue, drop in for a pint in the beer garden or come and eat on any occasion; small plates, lunch, date night dinner, group events, work functions or Sunday roast with family.

We’ll be serving a fresh, seasonal produce led menu alongside quality wines, spirits & pints from Thursday through till Sunday. We won’t be the cheapest place in town and certainly not the most expensive, just quality produce at fair prices, worth every cent with service to match.

Think a bowl of fresh mussels and a glass of cold Sauvignon, perfectly cooked ribeye with a full-bodied Malbec, fresh game in season, plenty of gluten free options and always something for a plant-based diet. A runny yolk, black pudding & apple scotch egg with pint of local real ale or a flat white and a slice of cake. Sample menu’s coming soon.

With many, many years of experience in hospitality between us, we think we know what it takes and we’ll be backing up our ideas with the knowledge to deliver a unique experience, in a town that needs it.

Not long now. only 8 days to go and weather forecast looking good!
Overflow parking available at Thorpe Camp Visitor Centre but if you can not bring a car then please walk .
Loads of great music from 12pm and lots of stall holders this year with some interesting shopping to do.
Then have a pork bap, burger, homemade chips or ice cream sundae whilst looking at a great collection of classic cars, dog show or chainsaw sculpting.
Play area for kids age 8 or under, bouncy castle, face painting, hair braiding, hook a duck, kids tombola , Tattershall thorpe paint your own pottery and loads more.
Money from stall holders fee, bouncy castle and other activities are donated to LIVES.

Sound Of Spitfire - The Journey

This is the official Facebook home of Sound Of Spitfire - #TheStationYouAllDeserve. Spitfire Radio originally served Southampton, Christchurch and The New Forest. In December 2017 the station closed. In January 2018 the station ownership was transferred and relocated to Spalding, South Lincolnshire.

Officially relaunched as Sound of Spitfire on 2 April 2018, we ceased broadcasting on 31 January 2019 to enable changes to our format and a new technical platform to be installed. After a staged return through March to May 2019 we completely changed format in June 2019 and we are currently broadcasting 7am to midnight and will continue to do so.

Our range of programmes will aim to entertain and inform. With local and national contributors providing a diverse mix of music, we ensure that there is something of interest to everyone. Although based in the South Holland area of Lincolnshire there is plenty of content that listeners from farther afield will enjoy. We’re excited to bring a mix of broadcasters from across the UK that each provide their own unique style.
