Update - Captain Slow I found it !! Sadly no draught but it’s a decent bottle & they do (basic) food with a shop next door for further “supplies”. Early start up an “unusual” road to tomorrows first drop which along with another “should” have come off today 🤦🏻‍♂️🤷‍♂️. Reload details look very interesting & I’m taking a 24hr break somewhere in the mix which may be good 😊. Best thing to do is follow The Breeze & make sure you catch up with this trip on YouTube soon along with Trucker Jenko’s exploits 🇮🇹

Well bit of a jumbled up day today. “Emergency” dentist appointment for 10:30am had been rearranged (without my knowledge) for next Wednesday so after a quick explanation that I didn’t know where I’d be tomorrow let alone next week it was rescheduled for 12:30 today. 5 lots of anaesthetic & I could still feel the drill so it was back to old skool & a bit of manual scraping which got the job done eventually. Washed the motorhome roof this afternoon in the rain but at least it came up all right & was a job that needed doing. Charged the new Pure Electric Scooters (more of that later) & then out for a couple of sherbets with my old pal Peter Ramsden & his lovely wife then home for a hearty tea & a few Zzzzs before setting back off darn Sarf tomorrow morning. That was bizarre ! Only last week I was having a conversation with Captain Slow about how it had been about 25 years since I’d been in THE NEW HOLLIES TRUCK STOP & it worked out perfectly for last night. Just within a (half) shift up from Ashford Int. Truck Stop & about 30 miles from my first (of many) drops over the next couple of days 😃. Shame the bar was shut though 🤦🏻‍♂️. One of the perks of this job, especially during “unusual” events such as atm, is you end up on some amazing different routes - such as this - the old N7 up towards Lyon 😍.

Nice final run into Paris after a delay at the first drop. Cut across country through the snow covered fields then onto the motorway which was running great before having my pants pulled down for the second time this week with a £70 charge to deliver into the market 🤬🇫🇷🤷‍♂️
Big thanks to Trucker Jenko for the 𝐇𝐆𝐕 𝐃𝐫𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐃𝐢𝐚𝐫𝐲 & luckily I’ve not got too much stuff to transfer but it looks handy fair play. Maybe it’s a generational thing (& a 🍷) but by f**k these can string a tune together. They had a pretty troubled past too from memory. Little beast of a snow plough complete with gritting attachment on the back ! I actually had a Bedford version of this (Rascal) as a motorhome which me & my lad used to take to all the British Superbike rounds 😃. The old fella in blue is out braving the weather handing out bibles in each respective drivers language so we’ve all got something to read this evening 🤦🏻‍♂️😉. Good on him 🙏🏽🤷‍♂️. Restaurant shuts early tonight so gotta work my spreadover out to coincide with 🍻🍻🧆🍷😴.

Well that was garbage - NOT ! OMG it was pork schnitzel in a cream & mushroom sauce with melted Swiss cheese (like a mozzarella) accompanied with pan fried spuds with a few bits of garlic, bacon & onion. 3 days here & im going to have to get in touch with Rosemary Connolly 🏋️‍♀️
