As Weekend Recovery have said, their gigs should be a safe space, beyond that, all gigs should be a safe space for women, lgbt+ and men too. You've paid to see some f**king awesome music, not to motorboat the singer or grope your fellow audience. Be better people.
Hey fb so I'm really disappointed I have to do this. We've had our strings of dates starting this week. On 2 out of 3 occasions we've had inappropriate behaviour at our shows towards both me and some female audience members.
And I know the ol 'were not all bad' crew will be ready to chip in and I appreciate that (no one is saying that you are fyi) but guys...step up. Rather than saying you'd sort these people out or tell how you'd never do this, maybe alert security, or be on hand if help is needed, and rather than telling us how you're one of the good guys, use that energy to be ready when the time, sadly, inevitably comes, and if you see your friends doing this, say to them, point it out and EDUCATE them!!
Motor boating me in the audience and touching our female audience members inappropriately at our shows is NOT acceptable. If you feel 'I'm too hot and you couldn't help yourself ' it's simple. Don't come to my shows. My shows should be a safe space for women, not an arena for you to 'not be able to help yourself' that isn't my issue, it's yours and it's simple get a grip, and get some help! And in the meantime, if you feel like you can't help yourself and you've bought a ticket for my show, get a refund. You aren't welcome. Enough is enough, you aren't helping the music scene rather your own urges and it's f**king disgusting.
Yours
Lori
