If you are avoiding doing reels because you think you need to be dancing - you reel-y don't (sorry!)
In the recent podcast episode @itsanitapopat talked about how she was never going to dance on Insta, but she felt comfortable pointing her finger. And how endless zoom meetings have left her feeling happier just talking to her people.
Listen to the full episode for plenty of tips on how to make Insta work for you as an introvert

Iām not a mental health expert so why am I talking about mental health in the latest episode of the podcast?
Hereās my thoughts on why as introvert business owners we need to be aware and supportive of our mental health.

One of the most frustrating things about marketing is the time it can take between delivering a campaign and getting results.
When I spoke to Dan Edwards he shared the 18 month gap between sending a direct mail campaign (lumpy mail!) and gaining a meeting with one of the recipients.
But you never know who is waiting for the right moment to approach your business, and in the meantime they have been reading your content and learning more about you. So never assume that because you haven't had a response right away, that no-one is paying attention to your marketing.
Can anyone beat 18 months from campaign to sales meeting?
And by the way I love the term lumpy mail!

PR is such a powerful tool in your marketing kit, potentially giving you credibility and visibility with your target audience.
The world has moved on since the days when PR juniors had to cold call features editors (thankfully!), and I spoke to @FionaMinett for the podcast about how best to access journalists who may be interested in covering your small business or showcasing your expertise.
Is it a tactic that you have tried - or are you not sure how to get started?

If you are struggling to get visible in your business, maybe you need some accountability?
On the most recent episode of the Marketing for Introverts podcast, coach Emma-Louise Parkes shared a small step she took at the start of her business journey to help her overcome some of her fears:
- what if people don't like what I share?
- what if no-one notices?
- what if it goes viral?
- what happens if my ex-colleagues see my post?
Asking for support is a powerful technique when you are attempting something difficult in your business.

My recent guest @mguruuk is the first person to turn up to record the Marketing for Introverts podcast wearing a tie - a fabulous orange silk one! I may introduce a dress code from now on š
We had a great conversation about finding your own way on social media. We all know video is great for the algorithm but it's not everyone's thing, and it's not Gus' thing. He's nailing it on LinkedIn particularly with long form posts where his personality shines through. Along with the orange tie.

Creative Director Rob Lodge shared with me all the different elements of building a brand from scratch - here we talked about brand visual identity.
If you've done all the ground work - the research, the values, the "why" behind the brand, then the visual elements will come together in a logical way.
And Rob reminded me of the need for guidance on brand tone of voice - which made me very happy as you can tell!

I had the pleasure of speaking to @NatalieRockall about her specialist subject - email marketing - for the Marketing for Introverts podcast recently.
One of the big challenges many business owners find is how to grow their email list.
In this clip Natalie made a lot of great suggestions, including the key tip - think about what you are offering your audience in return for them handing over their precious email address.
