In this Ben 10: Power Trip news update I showcase and talk about everything that you need to know about the game. Developed by PHL Collective, and published by Outright Games, Ben 10: Power Trip is a new 3D action-adventure game with a unique story, set within the animated universe of Ben Tennyson, featuring Gwen, Grandpa Max, and all of the show's classic humor and rivalry. Ben's European vacation is interrupted by the evil magician Hex, after he summons monstrous visitors, using the power of four magic crystals. Ben must uncover the truth behind these crystals, break the curse, defeat Hex, and save the world. The adventure begins in Grashugel Forest, near the Rust Bucket. You won't have access to the Omnitrix right away, so you'll only be able to play as Ben, who can run, jump and use a scooter.
Your first task will be to head to the Ranger Station and put a tape in the Watchtower stereo. You'll then encounter a portal to The Void, an area that is directly tied to Hex, which you'll visit several times in the game. Once inside, you'll jump across giant platforms and unlock the ability to transform into Heatblast, who can jump extra high, and deal out a mix of Light and Heavy Attacks, but when combined, he can also create a fiery drill-like combo. Heatblast can also unleash a Flamethrower, which can damage enemies, burn down, melt, and ignite objects. You can open up the Omnitrix menu and select and transform into Ben or 1 of his 6 Aliens at any time or add your favorite Aliens to any direction on the D-Pad. Four Arms can spin around, hitting every enemy in the vicinity, pull rocks out of the ground, which you can throw, and wind up his arm, before dealing out a strong punch attack, which can destroy objects.
Diamondhead can throw shards of crystals, create a crystal shield that blocks attacks and deflects projectiles, and conjure crystals to slide along. Rath can attack with his claws, head butt enemies, and roar. Rath can also leap and scale along climb-able surfaces, balance and jump across objects, and swing and vault across poles. XLR8 can punch, kick, and run fast, grind along railings, and jump extra high using Speed Ramps. This game features zero fall damage, so you won’t lose any health if you fall from a height. Shock Rock can use electric energy to construct randomly generated melee weapons, such as a baseball bat, a frying pan, and a giant mallet. Shock Rock can also use an electric tether to pull enemies towards him, and zip from one point to another. You can level up Toughness to Lower the Amount of Damage that Ben takes after being hit, improve Power which increases the amount of Damage he deals out in combat, add to his Luck, which earns you more loot, increasing your chances of getting a Lucky Shot.
Power Trip also features a local split-screen co-op mode, allowing a second player to be able to play as Kevin Levin. Kevin can use the AntiTrix to transform into Hot Shot, Quad Smack, Bashmouth, Rush, Thornblade, and Crystal Fist. You can visit Grashugel Forest, Farms, Swamps, Snowy Mountain areas in Mt. Eisburg, and Strudelbek City, which you can freely explore after completing the tutorial. You'll find Trinkets and Records to collect and coins that you can spend at in-game shops to unlock treasure maps, which unlock more areas. The game also has a Fast Travel feature, allowing you to be able to get from one point of the map to another, using Grandpa Max's RV. There are also Side Missions, Passive Missions, Boss Fights, Scooter Challenges.
There are also several Puzzle Rooms, which feature in Concerts that are being held by Lord Decibel, as he conducts his End of the World Tour by blasting music and being a nuisance to the residents of Strudelbek. Here, your Omnitrix is disabled, so you must rely on Ben’s wits and reflexes, as you avoid hypnotizing blocks and make your way to the exit. Ben 10: Power Trip will be available on October 9th, 2020 for the PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC.
