Junior hasn't curbed his flirtatious and womanising ways despite a big wake up call, when his wife Monique ended their relationship after finding out Junior bedded Bianca!

Finding himself an eligible bachelor once again, Junior moved on to the Square to be closer to his half-sisters Gina and Anna and estranged dad George.

After coming across George's ex wife Cindy crying into the bottom of a bottle, he lost no time in 'comforting' her by sleeping with her in the Beale's Eels kitchen. Ewwww!

Cindy may be with her blissfully ignorant ex hubby Ian, but she's been yearning for what she had with George, even though he's made it crystal clear that he's not going to revisit their past, despite their ill-advised kiss.

Both Cindy and Junior are the same when it comes to cheating so it didn't take much to lure Cindy into extending their night of passion into an illicit affair.

When Peter finds out that his brother Bobby was promoted to manager at Beale's Eels over him, he's more than a little annoyed. His girlfriend Lauren agrees that it's strange and points out there's no way Cindy would do Bobby a favour without a scheme up her sleeve. Junior listens intently as Peter, Lauren and Gina try to work out what Cindy is hiding from them.

An old hand at keeping affairs under wraps, he offers Peter a job with him on his new contract to keep an eye on him and make sure he doesn't uncover Cindy's betrayal.

Gina is sure that she knows her sister Anna well enough see when she's lying to herself when it comes to her feelings.

Although Anna has been dating Bobby for some time, it's obvious she's been pushing away her attraction to Freddie ever since their drunken get together last August when Anna was still a single woman.

Knowing that Bobby was completely smitten with her, Freddie was left feeling guilty for betraying his best friend and he lied to Bobby that the incident meant nothing.

Pointing out to Anna that it's unfair to string Bobby along if she's really in love with Freddie, Gina suggests Anna face the truth. Shaken by her sister's interference, Anna insists that she's happy with how things are, but Gina is dubious.

Nish continues his plot to drive a wedge between Suki and Eve when he makes Ayesha a very tempting offer.

Linda has well and truly fallen off the wagon despite swearing to son Johnny that she's finally going to sort herself out.

Sharon got Linda to go to an AA meeting and she seemed to be getting things back on track but with the upset of Dean's trial for Keanu's murder, she's sunk to a new low.

Needing to pop out, Johnny leaves Linda in Gina's care after she agrees to keep an eye on her. When he gets back things are no better and they end up in a terrible argument.

Pushed over the line, Johnny storms off to try and regain his composure. When he gets back to The Vic flat he makes a horrifying discovery, as Linda's life is on the line...

Cindy is fuming to find out that her secret lover Junior has given her son Peter a job!

Desperate to keep Peter away from Junior, she insists she's going to give him Bobby's job as the new manager of Beale's Eels.

Peter isn't ready to step on Bobby's toes and explains that working for Junior is a good opportunity for him. Having failed to convince Peter, Cindy confronts Junior instead and orders him not to hire Peter but he refuses to agree.

It looks like Cindy might be about to topple her own house of cards with all her meddling...

Peter's partner Lauren Branning is sus that Cindy is up to something and wants to know why she's so keen to stop Peter spending time with Junior. Will she find Cindy out in her lie?

Johnny Carter is horrified after finding his mum Linda at death's door! He hurriedly called an ambulance and the paramedics arrive to try and save her life.

After she's rushed to hospital, a devastated Johnny turns his anguish on Gina, blaming her for not looking after his mum while he was out, when she promised him that she would.

With Linda in a fragile situation, Johnny is grateful when Callum provides a shoulder for him to cry on.

Misinterpreting the married police officers kindness for something more, Johnny moves in for a kiss...

Callum faithfully promised his husband Ben that he would wait for him until he returned home but can Johnny tempt him to cheat?

When Junior suggests to Cindy that she come round to his place later for a glass of wine, Cindy doesn't need asking twice! She gets herself all glammed up in anticipation of another evening of illicit passion while Ian is away in the States.

Things are about to get extremely complicated for Junior when his half-sister Gina turns up on the doorstep.

He's stunned when she explains she wants to move out of The Queen Vic flat and she asks him if she can move in with him.

Aware that Cindy could turn up any moment, Junior panics and he tells Gina it wouldn't be a good idea. Hurt by he brother's rejection, Gina is blindsided but will she find out what her mum has been up to?

Coronation Street

Next week on the cobbles, twisted Rowan tries to alienate Leanne even further from her nearest and dearest whilst he assures her she’s doing the right thing by distancing herself from Toyah’s cancer care and operation and looking after herself first.

Embarrassed that Leanne could do that to her own sister, it’s Nick who stays by Toyah’s side through her trauma.

Elsewhere, Amy tells a very excited Leanne she’s looking to invest her inheritance in the new resource centre, but she’ll need to get a sign-off from Ken first.

Up at Weatherfield General, the consultant sees Nick with news and he prepares himself to call Leanne, telling her that Toyah has suffered complications and she needs to get up there as soon as possible.

Back on the street, Aadi questions Amy about her plans to invest in the Institute and warns her to think hard before taking any risks with Deirdre’s cash. Will she confess to Rowam that she’s having second thoughts?

Steve invites Cassie to an evening of classical music in the park. She shows up dressed to impress, but when Steve reveals that she’s going with Ken as he’s got a hot date with Demi, how will Cassie take it?

Police detective Kit moves into Glenda’s old room at the Rovers, realising it’s a hub for gossip and will do him perfectly.

Elsewhere, Paul is left disappointed when Kit fails to join them for a family meal.

Rowan tells Leanne about Amy’s decision and he begins to worry that he’s losing his grip on her when she asserts that she hasn’t time to discuss it as she’s off to visit Toyah.

As Leanne reunites with her sister, Nick confides in Toyah that he loves her and plans to break the news to Leanne. Will Toyah allow Nick to break her vulnerable sister’s heart?

Later, Nick listens to a message from Rowan telling him to cough up the £20k investment or he’ll let the cat out of the bag about his recent affair.

Paul plays Kit a message imploring him to forgive Bernie for the sake of their family but he point blank refuses. When Paul suddenly finds himself struggling for breath, Kit is thrown into panic. Will he change his mind about Bernie?

When Dee-Dee spots a notification on Joel’s laptop, asking him to rate his experience at Belfast Airport, she quizzes him about it. Joel makes out he was meant to go for work, but it got cancelled. Is Dee-Dee onto him?

As Steve and Cassie bicker, Ken despairs and orders them both out of the house. Cassie tells Steve she’s fed up with all the squabbling and is quitting. But will she change her mind when she returns to No.1 and overhears Ken on the phone…

Dee-Dee hands Emily a fairy charm for Maeve’s bracelet, suggesting she might like to be a flower girl at their wedding. When Emily reveals that Maeve doesn’t have a charm bracelet and warns her to be careful as Joel’s still paying rent on his old flat, Dee-Dee’s left seriously confused.

After getting home and seeing Joel’s briefcase, she opens it and finds a set of keys. Dee-Dee lets herself into Joel’s flat and searches the cupboards, convinced he’s having an affair. Will she find more than she bargained for? And has her looking into him, put her in grave danger?

When Mason sees the bruise on Betsy’s arm and guesses that the guy she’s been rinsing for cash is behind it, he urges her to tell her Mum. Will she agree to seek help?

Simon invites Leanne to visit him in Rotterdam, but when Rowan tells her that the Institute wants to fast-track her to level 8, she’s torn. Nick pleads with her to go and see Simon but she's still under Rowan’s spell.

As Kit moves into the Rovers, he flirts with Daisy. Later, Ryan’s impressed with Kit’s vinyl selection and suggests going out for a drink.

Cassie takes offence when a jaw-dropped Tracy discovers that Ken is employing her as his carer. Tracy then explains she’s back to see Amy, but Ken can see there’s a lot more to her impromptu visit!

Coronation Street

It's more than a little obvious that there's been a gigantic spark between Cassie and Steve, which builds even more obvious next week!

While at the cab office, Cassie can't believe her eyes when she sees the customer’s name on a booking for the airport. So she takes Steve’s cab, and is soon helping none other than Alina into the taxi I'm before driving her back to the cobbles to Coronation Street to see Tyrone. Alina’s left extremely angry when she realises she’s been tricked in to seeing him.

Later on that day, Steve and Cassie watch the County game, whilst obviously enjoying one another’s company. When Tim asks about Demi, Steve confesses that he’d forgotten all about her.

Elsewhere on the cobbles, Rowan tells Leanne that she’s been selected by Willow to run the new resource centre and he’s fixed up a meeting with an important potential investor. Later, Rowan introduces Leanne to Grant and leaves her to deliver her sales pitch. With Dylan’s fear of Mason evident, Sean resolves to sort it out and barges into Speed Dahl to confront Yasmeen and Stu.

Betsy admits to Mason that she told Dylan that he carries a knife. Annoyed, Mason asserts he can fight his own battles. When Dylan spots Mason in the precinct, is trouble brewing? Corrie fans are certain they’ve uncovered the true identity of Kit, who is supposedly Bernie’s long-lost son.

Kit Green, who is played by Jacob Roberts, has made some pretty morally questionable decisions over the last few weeks, leaving soap fans with the feeling he’s hiding something big. The corrupt copper rocked up in Weatherfield a few weeks ago and reunited with his birth mother Bernie Winter (Jane Hazlegrove).

Since then, Kit has become a regular fixture on the cobbles – but it’s not been smooth sailing with Bernie.

Showing his deep-rooted anger to his biological mum, Kit took the opportunity to blow up her life. Bernie had hoped to tell her kids, Gemma and Paul, that they had a brother on her own terms, but he beat her to it.

Kit also crossed a line when he got Nathan sent to prison for the Lauren’s murder. As you'll be aware, Kit planted Lauren’s DNA in pa******le Nathan’s van and framed him.

Actor Jacob previously opened up about his character Kit, saying: “I do think he is going to be a very misunderstood character at first.

“He’s been really hurt throughout his life and although he has a good heart, he has some deep-rooted resentment with his biological mum, which will be really interesting to play out.”

But as Kit has shown off his morally questionable behaviour at work too, fans are convinced he’s hiding something much more sinister.

Corrie fans believe Jacob’s character isn’t the real Kit Green at all. On a Coronation Street Facebook fan page, one viewer theorised: “I don’t think Kit is Bernie’s son, I think he has stolen the identity of his housemate.”

Many other soap fans were quick to agree that Kit isn’t who he says he is, but they have different theories on how he stole the “real Kit’s” identity.“Maybe her [Bernie] son was adopted by Kit’s mother, and got treated better than Kit,” said a second fan.

A third said: “I agree but he is not a housemate, he is the adoptive brother.”Is it possible Jacob’s character wants revenge for his upbringing, or to disrupt his brother’s biological parents’ life the way his was?

“So Kit’s biological parents adopted Bernie’s real son. That’s why he was at the house and knows all the history and has the surname green. Kit wants revenge for his brother and possibly the turmoil she caused his family whilst he grew up,” another viewer mused. Agreed, a fifth fan said: “I thought that something was not right about him, definitely a twist to it.”

While a fifth posed: “Maybe had another brother who was adopted by Kit’s adoptive parents and is seeking vengeance for him?”

Emmerdale

Note: The following article references domestic violence and coercive control.

Tonight's (Fri July 19) episode of Emmerdale saw twisted Tom put another evil plan for his tortured wife Belle into action, just ahead of the soap's big special episode.

The soap is exploring the issue of domestic abuse with Tom and Belle's story, which began in October 2023. Tom's controlling and aggressive behaviour has quickly worsened since he talked Belle into marrying him.

There is an extremely disturbing week on the horizon, as Tom's control over Belle reaches shocking new levels, as you can see in the spoiler picture gallery below!

Emmerdale has seen Tom inflict emotional and physical abuse on wife Belle in a story that has been airing across majority of the year.

In an attempt to further isolate her from his family, Tom concocted a sick and twisted plan to take Belle away to a Welsh cottage, claiming it was a holiday for the two, all the while he plots to make the situation more permanent.

Charity, however, is on to him and, next week, she’s left terrified when she finds out about Tom’s new job up in Wales.

Confiding in Cain, she admits that Tom reminds her of Bails. Clearly scared at the very thought, Cain leaps into action with Charity, who breaks into Dale Head to find out anything they can on Tom and Belle’s whereabouts.

The pair locate Tom’s surveillance equipment – which leaves them shaken – and, upon finding the address of the cottage in Wales, they waste little time in heading to the location.

After arriving at the house, things take a terrifying turn, with Cain and Charity finding the house ransacked – and covered in blood.

The question is, where are Belle and Tom? And what's happened?

Answers will soon be available, with a special flashback episode airing on our screens next week, which detail Belle and Tom’s getaway. Belle is in good spirits at the beginning but, soon enough, the holiday descends into a dark nightmare. Its not a week to be missed!

06/06/2024

Twisted, abusive Tom is set to be left highly offended when Cain rails at him for selling Belle's car without consulting him first.

Later on that day, Tom sees red and accuses Belle of talking behind his back about the car to Cain. He intimidates Belle while interrogating her and as he lifts his hand to hurt her, a scared Belle lets slip that she's pregnant, if only to stop him from attacking her again.

Tom takes a moment to process Belle's big news, and his mood takes a sudden leap, he quickly begins to act sweet and lovingly towards her and pulls her in for a cuddle. Tom actually cries tears of happiness, but Belle is feeling far from happy, and adds one more thing... to keep it a secret for the time being.

Later on, while walking along the River Walk with Piper, Belle doesn't feel as though she can trust this new behaviour in Tom as he swears to be a much better husband and father.

Elsewhere in the village Manpreet surprises herself as she confides in Ruby about her grieving partner Charles.

The vicar has been finding life difficult since his son Ethan passed away suddenly after collapsing at home. Because she's solely responsible for the hit and run on Ethan, Ruby is enveloped in guilt and wants to do anything she can to help.

Meanwhile, down the road, after been given food for thought by Laurel, Gabby has started to see her good old mate Vinny in a new light.

Having felt a spark earlier in the week when the friends met for drinks, Vinny leans in for a kiss and this time Gabby responds by kissing him back! Coild this be the beginning of a new romance up the Dales?

The next day at Dale Head, Belle's head is in turmoil. After been pushed into telling twisted Tom she's pregnant, she's been adored by her abusive husband who is clearly overjoyed about their baby news.

Belle was hoping to hide the pregnancy from Tom so she could work out what she wanted to do, she found herself forced to tell him, to stop him from attacking her again.

With Tom swearing to be a better husband, Belle is living in hope that he means it and that this could be a fresh start. However, Tom is soon back to his abusive ways.

Belle's left highly embarrassed when she walks into the cafe only to receive a round of congratulations from Jimmy and others. Tom has already broken his promise to keep their news a secret.

Doing her best to control her rage, she pulls Tom up, who, yet again, tries to get round his wife.

Elsewhere, spiralling under the weight of her guilt, Ruby goes to church. Knowing she's responsible for Ethan's death, she can't hold it together.

Charles is shocked when he finds her, staring at a photograph of his dead son.

As the vicar gets the church ready for Ethan's funeral, the grieving dad allows her to comfort him.

Later on that night, at home, Ruby is a mess as her son Nicky continues to ignore her for mowing down Ethan. Unable to take any more, she vows to turn herself and admit she took revenge on Ethan for what he did to Nicky.

Because its the early stages of her pregnancy, Belle is extremely tired.

At Dale Head - where her abusive husband Tom has locked her in and gone off to work – she's cooking some food when she lies down on the sofa - but in the kitchen, a tea towel is left too close to the hob and has started to burn…

As the house starts to fill with thick smoke, will Belle wake and manage to make her escape before a fire takes hold

At the church, Charles is a complete mess when he sees his son's freshly dug grave as he's preparing to lead Ethan's funeral.

Meanwhile, over at Mill, Ruby has made up her mind to come clean about what she did to Ethan.

Arriving at Woodbine, Ruby readies herself to tell Charles she knocked down Ethan who later died. But Charles hasn't got time to hear what she's got to say as the coroner's verdict is finally released.

Later on, Charles is in pieces as he leads Ethan's service.

Afterwards, in the Woolpack, the dad knocks back drink after drink and rejects Manpreet's attempt to comfort him.

After kissing Gabby, Vinny's over the moon but he's bought back to Earth with an embarrassing clang by clumsy barmaid Gail.

The Di**le is embarrassed when Gail makes it clear she knows he's still a virgin and offers to give him some advice.

It's too much for Vinny who fears everyone is talking about his s*x life, or lack of it, and calls time on his fledgling romance with Gabby.

She is stunned when Joel calls at the corner shop flat and after apologising for his Mum’s bad behaviour, then drops on one knee and asks Dee-Dee to marry him!

Bethany reveals to Toyah that a colleague of hers once tried to write an exposé about the Institute but was met by a wall of silence.

Rowan calls at the flat and Leanne gives him a big hug and when Rowan shows her Toyah’s posts about the Institute, she’s left furious. Later on at the Bistro, Toyah gets a hand-delivered letter. She’s shocked to discover that the Institute is suing her for defamation and taking out an injunction.

Elsewhere, Nick attempts to make Leanne see that Toyah is doing her best to protect her from a corrupt organisation run by a crazy man. However, Leanne refuses to hear a bad word said and as Nick heads out, she opens her laptop, smiles at the person on the screen and tells them she loves them.

In the café, Ken gives Carla and Bobby a short shrift and makes it clear he’s deeply unimpressed by their treatment of Daniel.

Coronation Street

In an extra special week of episodes, it’s a race against time to discover the truth as Bobby is arrested, Griff tells Roy to say his last words and Sarah attempts to frame Nathan!

Majority of my readers who are fans of Coronation Street, have been wondering what's happened to Lauren since she disappeared from Weatherfield earlier this year.

We can confirm there are some highly explosive scenes coming up on Coronation Street over the next week. As the mystery of Lauren’s disappearance, finally comes to a head!

The limelight has been firmly on legendary café worker Roy as her murderer, but in recent weeks we’ve seen vile pa******le Nathan fly into the police’s radar.

Long term viewers will remember that he was responsible for grooming and ra**ng Bethany in 2017, and since his return earlier this month, her family have been on the warpath to rid him from Weatherfield.

Meanwhile, after perverting the court of justice in an attempt to clear Roy’s name, Carla and Bobby's lies are on the brink of exposure.

Dee-Dee will continue to fight for his justice, unaware that Lauren’s greatest avenger, far right extremist Griff has been transferred to the same prison and is looking for revenge.

Roy finds himself in serious danger as Griff decides to force a confession out of him.

Elsewhere, DS Swain is struggling over the magnitude of the case, unable to choose who to pin as the prime suspect. Corrie have teased that there could be more to this mystery than initially meets the eye

When an invaluable piece of evidence comes to light, the whole case is thrown into the air.

The upcoming instalments will be aired over five episodes - every weeknight from Monday to Friday, with the first four focussing on the same day through the eyes of different key characters.

However the final episode of the week will see the fall-out of the events, with Lauren’s fate still yet to be confirmed.

Speaking of the story, executive producer Iain McLeod said: ‘This week is so gripping and unlike anything Corrie has done before, in terms of the story-telling,’

‘It’s modern, really exciting and has some of our favourite characters right in the middle of the drama. The murder mystery around Lauren has had us all on the edge of our seats and the race against time across this week to solve it before Roy gets seriously hurt is so engrossing and cleverly plotted.’

He continued: ‘It is also the launchpad for a massive new chapter in that narrative – so you really won’t want to miss it, if you want to carry on trying to piece together this thrilling puzzle!’
