Open roads and ever-changing landscapes, there are only a few places quite like New Zealand. Despite its small size, this country is packed with rugged mountains, coastal roads, and scenery that shifts with every hour on the road. It’s long been on our bucket list to explore, but where do you even start?

We caught up with Runa Grydeland, who recently completed a full lap around New Zealand, to hear about her favourite routes, must-see spots, and learn about her adventure across the Land of the Long White Cloud. ✋Hands up if you’re also counting down the days until next year’s ABR Festival, wishing we still had the sunshine, long evenings, and an ice-cold beer to round off the day.

Don't worry, though, it's only 6 months until the next one...

Ancient temples, twisty mountain passes, sun-soaked coastlines and a culture unlike anywhere else, it’s no wonder India is on so many riders’ bucket lists. But with a country 13 times the size of the UK, where do you even begin?

Do you take on the mountain passes of the Himalayas? Go off the beaten track across the Deccan Plateau? Or explore India’s own Grand Canyon in the Western Ghats? To help make sense of it all, we spoke with Alex Pirie, founder of Nomadic Knights, who has been leading motorcycle tours across India for over 20 years, to give us the inside scoop on exploring India by motorcycle. If you watched our video about riding Scotland’s NC500 in a weekend, you’ll know James rode the Ninja 1100SX, and Bill rode the Versys 1100 SE around the NC500. Both swear they picked the perfect bike for the trip, but which one would you choose?

One thing is sure, both were sublime at covering big distances in comfort, and with plenty of thrills too; they also had all the storage space they needed to carry their kit with them. So, when Kawasaki announced it was giving away free luggage, inner bags, and a touring screen as part of its Tour for Free deal, we had to take a closer look. Click the link below to see what's on offer for anyone who buys a new Ninja 1100SX/SX SE or Versys 1100/S/SE: https://www.adventurebikerider.com/get-free-luggage-a-windshield-and-more-with-a-new-kawasaki/

Have you ever bought your dream adventure bike, only to be let down by its bargain-basement suspension? Suddenly, that dream bike seems a lot less dreamy. Bike manufacturers are always looking to keep costs down, and suspension quality is often the first victim. And because a motorcycle’s fork, shock, and related components impact every other area of the machine’s performance, their lack of performance is often magnified.

OEM (original equipment manufacturer) suspension is also built to a standard set of specifications, but we all know that each rider is unique in their size, proportions, and riding style, so one-size-fits-all certainly isn’t the case here.

Fortunately, suspension is one of the first things you can modify when you buy a new bike. We’ve looked at a number of suspension brands over the years, but one that’s been on our radar for a while now is TFX Suspension. They build proper high-performance shocks that can be fine-tuned to your specs, and we thought we’d take a closer look at their range. Nothing beats riding off the beaten track, no traffic, no distractions, just the sound of the engine and the open trail ahead. But what happens when something goes wrong? A breakdown miles from anywhere, or worse still, you lose your bearings and your satnav decides it’s had enough too.

Well, we might have just found a solution, REALRIDER has teamed up with Anywhere eSIM. This eSIM runs in the background on your phone, switching between networks to ensure your phone always has the best possible connection, even when your usual provider is unavailable. So even if your preferred mobile network disconnects, you will still be able to send out an SOS in case of emergencies.
