Known as the Disabled Adventurer, Nick Wilson is an armed forces veteran and wheelchair user. He uses him social media platforms to show that anything is possible – even climbing mountains in his adapted chair.

Working with West Northamptonshire Council, Nick has self-funded 40 tickets for Wheels On Ice, which he describes as being “where wheelchair users, mobility-aid users and their carers get the full festive experience on the ice… without the cold, slippy panic".

John spoke to Nick at the weekend about this event, how it came about and his plans for 2026, including chair skills training. Hear Nick and John at 2.20pm.
