2024 Acoustic Sessions No.5 .

The song for May is a song by one of my favourite bands. The writing and instrumentation is varied and deep. The band is XTC. The writer of this particular song and the driving force of the band, was Andy Partridge ... an absolute genius.

This was one of their chart successes.

A big thanks to Billy Clark for help upgrading my computer to get the video software to work better. WOW - Magic Mask and Depth Map are real magic.

I decided to give this a whirl as it was a simple video shoot, a song I was very used to playing as a warm-up, 1st song, at my solo gigs. ... The big challenge was to edit the video in an editor I'm not familiar with ... A massive learning curve ... but I'm grasping it ... slowly ... 😎

Every year I try to post a new Xmas cover song, to wish people Merry, and in the hope it will brighten their day. Rather than do it in front of a phone camera this year (we don't have a Xmas tree up) I decided to build an audio and video track in the studio for hoots! (not done one for a while)

So Merry Xmas and a HNY when it arrives. Lets hope 2024 will be better than 2023 and the few preceding years. Light the touch paper and stand back ! xx
