Today I delivered my findings for my dissertation research at the University of Hull Student Thesis conference during my individual Presentation. I was so overwhelmed with the mark given and also speechless that I also won the Award for Best Oral presentation in Spoach coaching and performance science.
I am so proud of my friends I have made along the way on my course as they all did amazing on the day and I am super proud of them all. Without them I may not have got this far on the course and truly feel like I've made friends for life.
Now onto the final push before dissertation hand in day.

Well where do I start, such an amazing and inspirational experience, to be nominated as a finalist at the was such an honour. I can't thank the Samaritans enough. 4 years ago, if you told me I would be at an awards ceremony I wouldn't have believed you.
4 years ago I was at my lowest point and struggling just to keep going. Then one day I decided to email they Samaritans, as I was struggling just to open up and share. Then after over 100 emails, here I am. I'm still not there yet and probably never will be, but I'm at peace with that fact and that is just part of me. I cant thank enough for their support and allowing me to share my story. Thank you also to for an inspirational evening and for taking the time to talk at the end of the evening. Hope to collaborate at some point in the future.

So today our family and friends said goodbye to my uncle Mike. What a turn out for him aswell, so many people came to pay their respects. Just goes to show how well he was thought of and how many peoples lives he touched. We was genuinely so lucky to have you as part of our lives. You was a role model and an inspiration. You'll be forever in our hearts. Love ya always Smiggy

Such a true depiction of the complexity of depression. It isn't shown on people's faces, it isn't seen through certain actions. It's hidden.
Don't just think that people are ok if they are smiling.
Ask the question, speak to them and let them know they are not alone.

I'm so proud to be part of
National campaign '' Breaking the Silence''. It was a fantastic opportunity to travel to London and meet some truly inspiring individuals. It's great to give something back to an organisation that helped me massively when coming to terms with my breakdown in 2020. They really did save me from some dark times.

This week has been a full week, and feel like some self care time is needed. I won't be on any social media this weekend as going to have some downtime to recharge.
