Come run with me 🏃🏽

After my Q&A last week a lot of people were asking about what my running program will look like now I am back training towards hyrox, so this is where I am at this week..

Reminder - I have took time to build my training volume up to this so don’t try and jump on this weeks plan without having a decent amount of volume in your legs, this is to prevent you picking up an injury 🙏🏼

Monday - Interval runs - 600m x 12 w 60-90 seconds rest.

Tuesday - Easy run (Zone 3) - 70 minutes.

Wednesday - Pacing - Erg + Running work.

Thursday - Threshold - 60’ E6MOM - Bike 10 calories, Run 1100m, Bike 10 calories.

Saturday - Rest.

Sunday - Rest.

Feel free to save and adjust the distances to suit your level. 🙏🏼

The first Friday session for some of the SGPT & Online training team

I think it’s important to bring both the online and in person community together and help them push each other through the most grueling session of the week.

It’s my first big hyrox session in 6+ weeks and I loved it.

After my first 6 weeks of solid training for my marathon in Dubai, I was feeling strong and ready, until the flu knocked me this week.

It’s a tough pill to swallow, especially with race day approaching. Instead of wallowing in self pity, I’m focusing on the positives. I’m resting, staying hydrated, and doing what I can to maintain my fitness.

Life is unpredictable, and we all face challenges that can derail our plans. What matters is how we respond.

Staying headstrong during tough times is the most important part for me, times like these are where the true resilience is built.

So, if you find yourself facing a hurdle, don’t quit. Keep pushing forward, and trust that you have the strength to overcome any resistance that gets put in your path.

Sub 3 is still on.

Get my physique back to a place where I regain my confidence!

I understand how transformative it can be to feel good in your own skin, and that’s precisely why I’m relaunching the Fat Loss Fundamentals program on January 27th.

This program is designed not just to help you shed fat, but to improve your mindset and self-esteem. I’ve seen firsthand the profound impact that a positive self-image can have on every aspect of life, when you respect your body it has a profound affect on how you speak to yourself mentally.

It’s been a good 2 weeks for the online training team 🙏🏼

Manchester Hyrox - completing his first Hyrox mens open event with an incredible time of 1:03:41. For your first event this is majorly quick, with lots of room for improvement 👏🏼

Paris Hyrox - doing what she does best and grabbing 3rd in her age category in the female open category with a time of 1:12:04, this just goes to show how good she really is, even on a day that wasn’t her personal best she still comes top 5% overall.

Dublin Hyrox - having another hit at men’s open in at the weekend and even managed a 4+ minute PB from his previous event and achieved a time of 1:09:56 and sitting around the top 10 for his age category 👏🏼

Dublin Hyrox - with his second race of the season and grabbing his first podium, with a time of 54:54 claiming 2nd spot, That is a seriously quick time, on a very tough course. I dont doubt we will be seeing each other at the worlds again later in the year 👏🏼

Seeing results like this is why I love doing what I do.

Motivated to help more people achieve the same 🐝

23k run done with .callander.56

Possibly the toughest run I’ve had to prepare for mentally, I could not be arsed this morning, when I woke up I could see this run far enough.

But I had to remind myself pre run that I’ve never felt worse after a run than I did before I started.

Thats what got me moving when my mind was telling me to patch it and I’m glad it’s done.

Feeling 10x better now.

6 top tips to help improve your running 🏃🏽

With the recent influx of running training for myself the last few months I thought I should share some things I have learned along the way to help anyone who is struggling to get going with their running journey..

1. Set Goals: Just like I’m setting my own target to run a marathon, think about what you want to achieve. Whether it’s running for 10 minutes or training for a 5K, having clear goals helps keep us motivated.

2. Start Slowly: In beginning with a walk/run approach, and it feels great. Don’t rush it; gradually increase your running time as you build your aerobic fitness along the way!

3. Stay Consistent: I’ve created a weekly running schedule to keep myself accountable. Consistency is key, and it’s easier when you have a plan!

4. Listen to Your Body: As I dive into this new routine, I’m reminding myself to pay attention to how I feel. It’s okay to adjust and take rest days when needed (like today).

5. Find a community: This is something that my own bunch of online and SGPT clients have benefitted from majorly this year by adding in the group track session per week it helps with the extra accountability! It’s your support system when you need it.

6. Celebrate your wins: Whether it’s a short run or reaching a new distance, Every achievement counts & you deserve to acknowledge your milestones along the way.
