Hyundai Motor Company, the South Korean automaker, has developed a film illustrating the "Metamobility Universe." The latter refers to the company's NFT initiatives, which were first announced earlier this year.
The "Meta Kongz" gorilla character in the film drives from Earth to the Moon, symbolising how mobility can transcend time and space. The film also teases the release of a shooting star-shaped NFT in May.
Hyundai Motors released 30 limited non-fungible tokens to commemorate the film's premiere. As a result, it became the first (and only) automaker to enter the community-based NFT market.

As the UAE continues to focus on building its digital economy, Emirates airline wants to create brand experiences in the metaverse and offer collectible and utility-based non-fungible tokens (NFTs).
The first initiatives are already underway, with a debut expected in the coming months, according to a statement released by the world's largest long-haul airline on Thursday.
"Dubai and the United Arab Emirates are leading the way in the digital economy, with a clear vision backed up by practical policies and regulatory frameworks in areas like virtual assets, artificial intelligence, and data protection," said Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed, chairman and chief executive of Emirates airline and group.

On March 21, the crypto analytics platform WhaleStats tweeted details regarding the cryptocurrency's ascension to the top of the whale trading leaderboard.

United Talent Agency (UTA) announced in August 2021 that it has signed Larva Labs, the developers of CryptoPunks, Meebits, and Autoglyphs, to assist bring their IP to Hollywood. Larva will be represented by UTA in film, television, video games, and other areas. It remains to be seen how that will manifest.

Bored Ape Yacht Club
In a similar vein, Yuga Labs, the inventor of the Bored Ape Yacht Club, partnered with Guy Oseary in October 2021 to investigate adapting the popular Ethereum NFT profile image project to movies, television, music, and video games. It's comparable in scope to what Larva Labs is doing with UTA, but there have been no additional details revealed after the initial announcement.

Snowcrash, a nonfungible token (NFT) marketplace located in Solana, has announced that Sony Music and Universal Music Group, the world's two major music firms, have joined the platform.
Later this year, the two music labels will release NFT collections by Bob Dylan and Miles Davis ahead of a deeper integration with their portfolios of artists. Jesse Dylan, Bob Dylan's son, is the co-founder of the Snowcrash marketplace, which takes its name from Neal Stephenson's 1992 science fiction novel, which also coined the word Metaverse.
Dylan, the younger, stated in a statement that the existing market for NFTs is only "the tip of the iceberg." He chose the Solana blockchain to establish the platform over the Ethereum network because he believes it is better for the environment.
Snowcrash will compete with current Solana-based NFT marketplaces like MagicEden and Solanart, which are the two most active exchanges on the chain in terms of trade volume.
"[NFTs] enable our artists and labels to extend their cultural influence at the vanguard of innovation," stated Michael Nash, executive vice president of Universal Music, echoing similar idea.
Snowcrash is also a key partner of Solana Labs and has a joint venture with cryptocurrency exchange FTX.
NFTs have piqued the interest of the music business as a method to monetise material and build communities.
