Happy 2025 one and all! Time for a change for me…for the past 9 years I’ve been the editor of The Holmewoodian magazine, published annually as a celebration of the incredible work of the children (& brilliant staff) at Holmewood House School. This has been in addition to working my day job (Art Techician - 13 years), pursuing my Art career and football coaching twice a week! I am proud to have published 9 editions, but now need time to concentrate on my art and books (hopefully a new book out later this year). Thank you Holmewood House School…I hope I’ve done a good job!

‘A change is as good as a rest’. School’s out and I’m back working in my studio, but as a break from my paintings I’m working on illustrations for my next book which I hope to publish next year 🤞🤞🤞🤞

A Lobster is not just for Christmas! My ‘Blue Lobster- Pink’ limited edition print (mainly framed) was popular at the recent Christmas Fair. I had to get more printed by the marvellous . I have a few times available if you’d like to visit my studio in Langton Green .

A few of the stages of my recent ‘Koi Assembly I’ painting. A 32”x42” (framed) acrylic painting on a box canvas.

I can spend a couple of weeks pencil drawing the design on paper until I am happy to start working on the canvas.

I have to choose the Koi varieties/colours before drawing out the scales.

Each scale is individually painted approximately 10 times to create a 3-D look.

A real Labour of Love (UB40).

Just dropped off a selection of my Koi Art Paintings and Prints at the brilliant Koi Water Barn . Greatly looking forward to working with them.

So proud of our Jazzy, last night she baked from 9pm to 9am this morning. 12 hours non-stop (with a bit of dancing and laughter…we heard it!) of baking to raise funds for her school trip to Gambia in December. So far she’s raised nearly £500 and the money will be invested into community projects out there. 👏👏👏👏

1 more week of my window display Royal Victoria Place shopping centre, Tunbridge Wells until Wednesday 24th October. A selection of my Tropical Marine Fish paintings (& some Mackerel) are exhibited in the old Gap Kids window on the 1st floor. Pop along if you can and please spread the word 😃.

A selection of my Tropical Marine Fish paintings (& some Mackerel) are on display at the Royal Victoria Place shopping centre, Tunbridge Wells until 24th October. I set up after my ‘day job’ and finished so late that I didn’t get a chance to look at or photograph the window from the outside so thanks Sadie Weal for some of these. A shopping centre at night with no one around is a spooky place…I kept thinking of ‘Stranger Things’.
