Little did she know I’d already seen… thanks to my @reolinkcams Go PT Ultra 🎥
PS… Guys it’s Bants!! (As was @emd__eventing94 ‘s initial reaction vid too!!)
No one was harmed, hurt, or upset in the making of this vlog… In fact, both Susie and Dinks had the very best day!!
This turned out to be one of the most wholesome vlogs, proving that you don’t need to feel pressured to ride horses to truly enjoy them.
Just spending the day pottering around the yard, bathing, grooming, and playing with their hair can be the best therapy 🤍
I’m so grateful to @inthesaddlesusie for making me more aware of just how much Dinks loves this kind of affection too and how I should be doing it more often for both of our well beings 🥰
@inthesaddlesusie and Dinks had abit of a bonding session *that involved scissors ✂️🙈* whilst I was away… and she hoped to get the nod of approval from @emd__eventing94 before I returned 🙃 Did she or didn’t she⁉️🙊
Can we rewind 8 weeks… I wanna enjoy this beautiful girl again 🧡 @global_amateur_tour @hauterhorses
Last week, we had the pleasure of spending an afternoon at @fox.pitt.eventing as part of National Racehorse Week. We had the opportunity to learn about and experience William’s methods of training, not only for former racehorses but also for the young horses just starting their journey.
William shared the steps he takes in preparing these young horses, laying a solid foundation before they begin their racing careers.
Many former racehorses go on to have successful eventing careers, and I know many of you who follow us are passionate about competing and retraining them for all three phases. With that in mind, I asked William to share some of his top tips with us all.
Don’t forget, National Racehorse Week runs from the 7th to the 15th of September, with 90 yards across the country opening their doors to the public. This is a fantastic opportunity to see firsthand the love, care, and attention that goes into training these fabulous, intelligent, and athletic horses.

Was feeling a little nostalgic over the weekend and then felt awfully guilty that I forgot (well didn’t celebrate) our happy gotcha day 🙈
TEN Years ago on the 11/08 I paid a £300 deposit for my boy… I guess not really the “Gotcha Day” as it was the day he came home but it is a very memorable date and a day that my life changed for the better.
I’ll save the 10 year ownerversary for the day he came to Cusvath but couldn’t help but be a little nostalgic and look back at a few of our first, first hack, first lesson, first show & first time out on grass XC Schooling 🥺 Which he loved much more than me I was slightly petrified of his enthusiasm… but thankfully it doesn’t really look that way in this clip!!
What it does show though is despite having a fair few lows and lots of falls in the early days his love for the job has always been apparent from day dot 🥰
Sound On for the Grunt & Gallop after turning out of the water!!!!!!!!🤣
I promise I will ALWAYS trust my Intuition going forwards my boy… I didn’t feel right, you didn’t feel right and I should have done the right thing and Withdrew prior to XC.
But trying to decipher between which feelings are overriding which when you’re feeling poorly, nervous, sad, frustrated, weak, worried and anxious along with also having travelled 6 hours to take part in an event as a team member makes making that decisions very very hard.
Would people think I’m “wimping out” …. Infact was i “wimping out” ?!
Am I being over cautious… over protective, unnecessarily worrying about something that’s not actually wrong?!
Do I just get on and jump the first few fences then see how he feels?! Do I just do the warm up then get off?!
⤴️ These are questions I will never ask myself again… the next time I have the slightest bit of doubt in my mind ~ I promise I will trust my gut and go with what my intuition is telling me. No outside influences… just me knowing and trusting how well we know each other and how I will always do what’s right for us 🤍
A New PB 🙌 22.6 🥇💪
Ok well actually it was 77.32% but we talking evening lingo 😜
Last night Sir Banksy tried to tell me in his best love language that I don’t need a fancy prancy warmblood just yet as this hairy legged Irish bog pony had all zee moves 💃
He tried his absolute heart out and gave me the best test we’ve ever done ☺️
Was it an important comp… no, does the score give/gain us anything… not really, but it sure damn made me smile and once again reminded me not only how far we’ve come but how blooming precious he is and how hard it is gonna be to find something that I do actually enjoy riding as much as I do my special special boy 🤍 You sure are one in a Billion Boo 🥰
Guys I’ve got a new ADDICTION…. How did I not know about this App sooner?! @equiptapp AD
Honestly I got SO Excited when I saw a pair of my favourite Tredstep Breeches on there yesterday morning and managed to grab them for the bargain price of £10 😱
💫🛍️ It’s literally Horsey Gals Vinted 🛍️💫
I’ve also just listed 10 items, the profit of which will go to the @britishhorse Rideathon Challenge, so go have a nosey grab a bargain for yourself whilst at the same time donating to a cause that assists us all by enabling our off road hacking routes to be maintained, enhanced and restored 🐴🙌
The App is completely Free to up for and super simple to use & definitely a Win Win if it encourages you to have a tidy up and clear out like I did too 😜
If there’s anything you’ve loved that I’ve used, worn or showed on Banksy or Myself over the past few years let me know in the comments below and I might be kind and part with it as a way of upping the amount raised 💰😉
PS Next week there’s some “one of a kind/money can’t buy” items that’ll be able to be purchased on there too so get yourself au fait with using the app ahead of time 👀

We all know that gaining a horses trust takes time and patience but what we don’t all know or have (if we’ve never worked with young horses before) is the chance to learn how to do this or to put our learning into practise.
This is definitely what I love most about the @global_amateur_tour ‘s And the opportunities that @lucyolphertshowjumping has opened up for Amateurs to expand their knowledge, gain experience and learn from the best in the business.
It’s not all about jumping big fences it’s about learning how to build the foundation’s and set up the horses for a successful and enjoyable future in the sport that we fortunate enough to partner them in 🧡

It was going so well…. 🙊🤣
Oh JACK you are so ACE!!
I’m well and truly smitten 🥰
Thank you @garetheva91 for letting me get some much needed @global_amateur_tour practice in, pinching ponies is my new favourite thing to do!!
Especially overgrown extremely handsome grey ones 🤍
Never have I ever *walked* out the start box 😜
Did you know you’re allowed to walk as far as the first fence prior to re entering and leaving the start box on your countdown⁉️
I was aware of the rule but have never done it due to Banks always being a very keen bean to leave it But with so many people doing it today and lots having issues at fence 1 I didn’t want to regret not having let him have a little look!!
He was rather perplexed as to why we were walking and I think it definitely made him even more enthusiastic to leave the second time 🤣 but I’m definitely glad I did it and love that so many others did too and it just shows we all want to give our horses the best chance of understanding the question and enjoying my job 💙
Banks VERY much enjoyed being back out Eventing today and we had so much fun, it was great to cruise around and beautiful venue that we’d never been to before ~ that’s 4/4 runs this year on turf we’ve never galloped on before, something that previously would have terrified me but I now love 🥰
Launceston next but then to find another “New” venue to have a spin round… any recommendations guys❓😘
When you manage to get @teambraggeventing to say “Wonderful, Amazing & …. PERFECT” all in the space of 2 minutes 🙌 (Perfect was the word we’d been working towards 😉!!)
Whether he actually thought it was or whether it was the world’s best confidence/mindset boost ahead of trotting down that centre line, I’m not sure but it defo worked🤣!!
So grateful to everyone who gave up their time to help me/us last week but especially to Alex who so kindly assisted us in all 3 phases even when was competing in the 5* himself!!
I feel extremely fortunate and eternally grateful that not only did you enable us to get a very pleasing dressage score and a double clear but your positivity and encouragement completely eradicated any stress or tension and fully enabled me to ride to the best of my ability and give it our all, whilst enjoying it too ☺️
Crazy to think that this time next week we will have riden down that centre line at Badminton 🤩 I honestly am SO excited… I can’t wait to get my boy there and enjoy it together 💙
He really tries his heart out and gives his all in everything he does and although we had a little blip this evening schooling I’m not gonna dwell on it, I know I wasn’t in the right headspace before even going, I was stressy and tense and aggravated. Over tired too 🙈
So I’m focusing on positives and they are that I am hand on heart really enjoying dressage atm!! Yes it took a very long time for me to say that but I really am and I’m proud that our results so far this year have reflected that 🥰
Our new saddle has definitely massively helped both of our comfort, posture & way of going too 💚
Thank you so much @georgia.s.devoucoux @devoucoux_uk for your support ☺️
The thing I love most about this is the fact that it used to scare me and now it just makes me giggle… #MyHeartHorse 💙
Baby Girl… How are you ONE ⁉️🎂🎁🎉
My little Doodle Doo 🥰
When we first found out she’d been born I didn’t think I had any room in my heart to give enough love to another fur baby…. my was I wrong ~ this little ginger nut has brought ssooooooooo much joy to us all over the past 12 months 🧡
She’s the sweetest little soul and has been the easiest Puppy to care for and train, always wanting to please and never leaving your side.
Happy Birthday Sweat Pea ~ We love yooouuuuuu 😘
What an incredible lot of fun filled first year of adventures we’ve had ~ here’s to many many more!!
