This past Saturday, we hosted an incredible Media Bootcamp Taster Day at Camills Studios as part of the Tech Cornwall Festival of Tech! 🚀🎧

What an adventure! Recently, some of the team were given the opportunity to explore "behind the scenes" at BBC Wales in Cardiff - all thanks to UK Community Radio Network - UKCRN. So many of the nation's favourite broadcasts take place here. We're working hard to develop our own studios here in Cornwall, to create something we can share with the community. 🦋

Yesterday, Bryna, Meah, and Claudia headed up the road to visit CHAOS Farm to join in with their weekly Farm Group! 🚜🌾👨‍🌾

They helped with moving fences, collecting apples and checking on the chickens. We know how important it is for our staff to reconnect with nature, and connect with the other parts of The CHAOS Group so we can strengthen our lines of communication.

Another photographer within our team is Claudia Montano! Predominately within the Social Media and Marketing team, Claudia can occasionally be seen behind the lens, often partnering with CHAOS Radio's Journalist Tom Howe.

Claudia has worked with many product focused brands from her own studio space, as well as travel & tourism businesses across the globe - and has even been interviewed by Tamron Americas!

Let's meet the Photographer...

1️⃣ How long you’ve been shooting for?
I've been behind the lens ever since I could pick up a film camera (at around 11 years old), but moved into digital at 17 when I freelanced for Samsung. Professionally, I've been behind the lens for around 5 years now!

2️⃣ What started your photography journey?
I love being able to capture a moment, and a photograph is a memory captured that will last forever... whether it's a magical tiny world up-close (macro) or the beauty of a mountain-scape.

3️⃣ What inspires you?
When I'm working with product-focused clients, their products, message, and branding inspires my work. When I'm travelling and creating for tourism brands (or for myself), the landscapes are the entire inspiration!

It's World Photography Day - part 1! 📸

We thought we'd take a moment to introduce our photographers to you!

Our in-house Photographer (and film-maker) is Joe Allen! The main man behind capturing all of our CHAOS Digital events & projects, as well as general on-goings within The CHAOS Group!

Joe's vibe is moody and earthy when he shoots landscapes, and can often be found exploring Cornwall's coastline with a camera. Joe has also attended events with Uk.Shooters, where he was able to flex his portrait photography skills for their 2023 Halloween themed shoot!

Let's meet the Photographer...

1️⃣ How long you’ve been shooting for?
My love for photography started out in college around 11 years ago, and I haven’t been able to put down a camera and stop shooting since.

2️⃣ What started your photography journey?
I got into photography because I used to shadow my brother on photoshoots and I began to fall in love with being outside in beautiful locations, but also the process of photography. In my early photography days, I used to spend a lot of time photographing analogue photography on 35mm film. I used to love the process of developing and printing my work in the dark room.

3️⃣ What inspires you?
It’s quite simple, but the world we live in is my biggest inspiration. I love the idea that I can use my photography to bring something - whether it is an experience, a sense, or a journey – to someone who may never get to experience that one thing. Photography is also about capturing moments in time and preserving memories and I feel like it is one of our most powerful and important tools.
