This Friday we celebrate two years since opening our Charity shop in Dunraven Street. It has proved to be an excellent decision and our team of volunteers love welcoming our customers many of whom have become friends. We are active members of the Tonypandy Chamber of Trade who do so much to promote Tonypandy and organise activities for the community.
Next Friday will be Freebe Friday when we will celebrate by giving away lots of our surplice stock. Toys books, clothes and household goods so please pop by and grab yourself some goodies.

Is a 6 month old Bichon described by his foster mum as very nervous, although gets a tiny bit more confident every day. Will scream if picked up and wet himself, so we avoid this unless absolutely necessary. He is very much the baby of the house. A petite little boy that brings out the maternal/paternal in everyone who has seen him. Only recently started to come out of his crate.
He won't allow contact from people, but enjoys a good wrestle with his brother. He will bark at random things, like the chair, then run away. He's nervous around the home, and will bark at things like the chair if it's moved place. He likes consistency. He comes across as a delicate boy, but we believe he has the potential to 'puppy up' and grow in to his sassy bark.
Not cat or small furry tested.
At his age he should be full of joy, and wanting children to play with him, but he is very scared. In his case, I think children are not recommended, although understanding teens might help him find the fun in life.
JPR LOVES his toys. He will grab a toy and take it to his bed to destroy. However, he easily gives it up if challenged by one of the others. He's a chewer, so leather toys work well. He will play tugger with his brother, but not sure if this is really playing or fighting tbh. Will def need a resident dog that is not too dominant but will give him reassurance and confidence
Wears a collar. Way too scared to try any training yet.
Sleeps happily in his crate.
Will go out in to the garden to do his business and clean all night but is too scared for us to be able to give him treats or praise to further his training.
Easily bullied. Won't take treats unless really high value, like corned beef or chicken.
JPR needs an empathic, kind, patient, quiet home with another dog. One day he will enjoy playing and running on the beach, so a family that is happy to wait and let him work through his fears would be ideal.

MISSING APRICOT TOY POODLE

Thank you so much to everyone who shared our post yesterday. A huge thank you to Forgotten Felines Cat Rescue for coming out with a trap, and to Missing Dogs Team Wales for jumping in to action too. Sadly we haven't had any sightings. We've got drones coming in today and tomorrow hopefully, a huge thank you to the local pilots.

FOSTER HOMES URGENTLY NEEDED

We are in urgent need of South Wales based, large breed (non-bullbreed) foster homes, including quieter homes suitable for older dogs and those experienced with whelping Mums and puppies.
