Come along and support local live theatre and two worthwhile charities for the Mayor's appeal.

As part of the Mayor's Appeal, The Little Theatre is proud to work with The Players Theatre, Gelligaer to bring 'Albert', an award winning, one act play to our stage.

This delightful comedy, performed live on stage, is free to attend, but we please ask that donations are made in lieu of payment to the Mayor's Appeal.

The evening will also include a raffle towards the Mayor's chosen charities: Chloe's Cupboard & Parkinsons UK.

We are sorry to hear of the passing of friend and local historian Eifion Lloyd Davies after a short illness.

With his love of local history, Eifion volunteered his in-depth knowledge of the area, and the Welsh language, to greatly enhance a number of our projects.

As well as helping behind the scenes, Eifion was also a fantastic presenter, and featured in our Rebuilding History series fronting the programmes on the Semtex Factory Boiler House, and the Brynmawr Market Hall Cinema where he was a trustee.

Eifion's voice, and legacy with Made In Tredegar, can be heard throughout our town reading the lines of Aneurin Bevan as part of our Tredegar Trails, including the famous phrase "We will Tredegarise You! - Thank you Eifion.

Our thoughts are with his family at this sad time.

Did you know that The Little Theatre, Tredegar has always had the community at the heart of everything it does, but did you know they also have a food pantry available every Friday!

You can also find additional community support via our partners Cymru Creations at No 10 The Circle!

Since the pandemic there has been community support available for anyone who are finding these winter months difficult.

For those who do not know these services are available, we have a food pantry operating from the Theatre every Friday.

You can also get additional community food and baby support items free of charge around the corner from Number 10 The Circle!

Representing North Wales: Dean Raymond & Kazia Cannon who picked up the Theo Speaker Cup in the British Ring Shield Awards.
While South Wales was awarded the Craig Cup for the most attractive dealers stand, which went to Red Dragon Magic.

Following in the footsteps of Bevan, here are just some of the views and historic sights you can see today in the hills opposite Trefil on our Tredegar Trails: Industry and Beyond Part 2.

These include evidence of a 300 year old tram-road and thanks to the recent weather you can also see what the tram-road would have looked like in the grass.

Also now appearing from under the earth are a pair of chair stones which would have held the iron rails to make the rudimentary track!
