Let’s be honest. Motherhood doesn’t just change your life—it flips it upside down.

Before kids, I was:
• ✨ Confident and carefree
• 👗 Loving my body and life
• 🗣 Chatting with anyone and everyone

Then I became a mum, and suddenly:
• 😟 My confidence disappeared
• 🏠 My world shrank into a safe bubble
• 🚫 Baby classes? Nope. I was scared of being judged.

💕 Why I Became a Social Media Manager
For years, I worked in various industries—insurance, medical, beauty, and corporate—but I always felt like I was plateauing. There was no spark, no passion, just routine.

When I had my first child, I went back to work after just 3 months. I struggled to bond with her, and I missed so much of her early life. It’s something that still breaks my heart when I look back.

During maternity leave with my second child, I realised I couldn’t keep missing those moments. I asked for hybrid working, but my employer said, “It couldn’t be done.” Then COVID hit, and everyone started working from home! That was my sign—it was time to take the leap and go full force with my business.

Starting my own business during the pandemic was scary, but it turned out to be the best decision I ever made. While others were struggling, I was thriving because businesses still needed help promoting themselves. Fast forward 4 years, I was earning a comfortable income, working flexible hours, and loving the freedom to spend more time with my kids.

Then life threw me a curveball: twins. It was a challenging pregnancy—weekly scans, hospital visits, and moments of uncertainty. They arrived 10 weeks early, and the next few months were a whirlwind of surgeries, NICU stays, and recovery.

Being my own boss meant I could be there for my family during this tough time. It’s not always easy—if I don’t work, I don’t get paid—but the flexibility and freedom make it all worth it. I can honestly say I love what I do, and I’m really good at it.

When I started my business, my dream was simple..... I wanted to spend more time with my children. I craved being present for the school pick-ups, nativities, sports days, and those little moments that mean everything as a mum.

But the reality?
In my first year, I was working way too many hours for far too little money—my rates equated to just £3.50 per hour! It was exhausting, unsustainable, and far from the dream I envisioned.

Something had to change.
✨ I started setting boundaries.
✨ I implemented contracts to protect my time.
✨ I left my work phone in a drawer overnight and didn’t check it until after the school run.

Then life threw me a curveball. I fell pregnant with twins. Weekly scans, and the trauma of NICU followed. Between breast pumping, hospital appointments, being a mum to my daughters and caring for two boys with additional needs, I found myself turning to work as a coping mechanism—but it wasn’t healthy.

I suffered from PTSD and postnatal depression. That’s when I knew work needed to take a back seat.

What I’ve learned through these challenges is this:
Your work-life balance doesn’t have to look like anyone else’s. Some mums thrive in routines; others prefer flexibility. Both are okay.

My ultimate goal for myself—and for you—is to have:
✔️ Happy, healthy children.
✔️ Financial comfort.
✔️ A life that feels aligned and stress-free.
