As photographers, pumpkins and gourds are unavoidable at this time of year to want to photograph. Their range of colours and the variety of shapes mean they are literally begging to be captured on camera!  They appear iridescent amongst the gloomy murk of the non-perfect autumn days. When we are blessed with blue skies and sun, together with pumpkins, through the lens it all appears ‘picture book’!

A straightforward still-life photoshoot using natural daylight and boards. Cutting the pumpkins to see the colour of their flesh is also a surprise as well as their seeds.  To help angle these wondherful spheres and keep them in position, we simply cut the base in order they don’t wobble.

Our gelatos are hand-crafted and chef-inspired by award-winning chef, Kuba Winkowski. Using only the finest ingredients here at Box Bush. Non-homogenised milk arrives in traditional churns from a small herd of Guernsey and Jersey cows from a Cotswold farm, Holmleigh Dairy. We create our gelatos from seasonal fruits, vegetables, herbs, honey & flowers, sourced from local farms and our community where people have excess produce such as from their garden or allotment. Our ingredients are completely natural and of the best quality, we have reduced sugar content in our recipes, and no artificial flavourings, colourings or e-numbers! We make our gelatos in-house, in front of your very own eyes.

World Fairtrade Day 11th May

To mark World Fairtrade Day, we presented the Fairtrade Town renewal certificate to the Leader of Tunbridge Wells Borough Council, Ben Chapelard and Councillor Justine Rutland, Cllr for Economic Development,  with Mandy Flashman Wells and Tor Bennett, from the Tunbridge Wells Fairtrade Town Group.
 
We have lots of activities afoot building up to Fairtrade Fortnight (9th – 22nd Sept) including planting a mini forest, celebrating and raising awareness of farmers, growers, workers and the CLIMATE crisis across the globe.  We’ll also be celebrating the 30th anniversary of the formation of the FAIRTRADE Mark.
