Playwright, author, aesthete and wit, Oscar Wilde was born 170 years ago today, and remains the most quoted person in the English language. A rather lovely quote generally attributed to him is: "I have the simplest tastes. I am always satisfied with the best." Presumptuous though it undoubtedly is, I like to think that were he alive today, his simple tastes would include the Jaguar E-type..... 9600 HP was, quite rightly, one of the stars of the 100th Geneva International Motor Show. Here owner and E-type expert Philip Porter discusses this wonderful car.

We were fortunate to have been joined at E-type Club Day last year by Club patron Ian Callum. His discussion with Philip covered was informative, entertaining..and possibly a little controversial!
