'Let's put this arena on the fuc*ing map' (Liam Gallagher, Manchester show 15/6/2024).

Playing those anthems, B sides, C sides and songs that have never been played live, Liam had the crowd eating out the palm of his hands from the opening show walk on.
As Liam stood at the mic ready to rip into "Rock n Roll Star" you had a feeling that this gig was going to be a very special musical event.

From start to finish LG and his band deliverd one of the finest gigs that you will see this year, it was certainly a show that didn't let you sit down, even with the anthems of "Half The World Away" that was dedicated to his little brother Noal, or "Whatever" The show never went flat.
You never knew what song would be next, and once that note hit from the next song the loyal crowd would burst with an excitement that one would have finding that winning lottery ticket,
It was an incredible energy.
Liam was on point with his vocal and proved that he is one of the best frontman in the business, he walked the walk and he delivered those songs like his life depended on it, he sounded fantastic.
The band looked as cool as ever, the string section worked so nicely on those songs live.
Bonehead must have been the most laid back person in the place, he truly looked like he was just playing with his pals front room and not in a place that was hotter than a lions den.

The crowd gave it their all as you would expect and the standing area had everybody bouncing from start to finish, I'm surprised you didn't hear the crowd over at the Foo Fighters show that was also happening at the other side of town.
Finishing of the show in fine form LG quoted "This is the last song this ain’t no Foo Fighters gig, or f***ing Taylor Swift gig either" and then like a magician he set the fans wild and went into the last songs of the night.

Celebrated blues-rock guitarist and singer-songwriter Joanne Shaw Taylor announces the release of her new studio album, Heavy Soul, available NOW through Journeyman Records. Recorded at the historic RCA Studios just before its closure, Taylor shares, “I love the history - it seemed like the natural place to come back to. It’s been a wonderful album to make.”

The album’s latest single, “Drowning In A Sea Of Love,” is a soulful rendition inspired by Eva Cassidy’s version of soul icon Joe Simon’s 1971 R&B hit. Introduced to Taylor by producer Kevin Shirley, it perfectly captures the album’s theme of exploring emotional depths through a blend of blues and soul music.

Heavy Soul is a landmark in Taylor’s career, that showcases her evolution from blues roots to incorporating soulful pop music nuances. Following the heartfelt single “Change of Heart,” the album continues to showcase Taylor’s expressive vocals and guitar prowess with tracks like “Devil In Me” and “A Good Goodbye,” the title track “Heavy Soul,” and includes a soul-stirring version of Joan Armatrading’s “All The Way From America.”

The Cold Stares, known for their electrifying blend of blues-rock, have just announced details of their highly anticipated seventh studio album, 'The Southern,' set for release on September 6th via Mascot Records. Delving deep into their Southern roots for the first time on record, the album embodies a true reflection of their heritage.

The latest single from the album, "Coming Home," is a plaintive, bluesy number played on dobro, echoing the depth of Southern familial ties and personal resilience. "Perhaps our most rootsy song to date, I wrote this song after a trip back to my hometown in Kentucky,” Tapp shares.

They have also announced a run of UK shows for August and September starting on 31 Aug at the Ropetackle Arts Centre, Shoreham, then they will be playing Sunflower Lounge (Birmingham), The 1865 (Southampton), New Cross Inn (London) and The Bourne Music Club (Sittingbourne) with more dates to be announced.
