It's that time of year again and the pressure starts to mount as I struggle with those all important questions; should I play any festive songs on my show, if so how many? Then there is the even more perplexing issue; if I do play festive songs which ones?

Surely it cannot already be a month since my return to 10Radio The time has simply flown by and I am now ready to unleash September's musical treasure trove!
If your ears are not otherwise occupied this Wednesday (11/09) between 21:00 - 23:00 (that's 9pm to 11pm in old money)you might like to join me for 2hrs of great music delivered by a bloke who simply LOVES to play music!!

10Radio has been broadcasting 24/7 for over 15years and many thanks to all those who have helped over the years.
The story so far...
10Radio started life in 2004 when a small group of local residents with an interest in community development read about a community radio station in Manchester and thought "...wouldn't it be great to do it in Somerset as well ..."
In September 2005 10Radio was born with a month of varied broadcasts that took the 10 Parishes by storm. A year later, and the second month of broadcasts attracted 200 presenters and 50 studio volunteers.
Inspired by the success it was decided to apply to Ofcom for a community radio licence and 2 months later we heard that we had been successful.
A frantic year followed finding permanent premises, fundraising, specifying equipment, converting and fitting out our new home, and launching ourselves on the listening public in January 2008.
Since then 10Radio has broadcasted 24/7 on 105.3fm within the area of , the 10 parishes and reaches to and . We can also be heard online at www.10radio.org and on all the radio apps and smart devices at 10Radio.
We broadcast a wide range of music including Folk, Jazz, Reggae, Pop, Rock, Dance, Heavy Metal, World, Classical and Improvised Music. We have decade shows covering the 60s, 70s and 80s. The Community Show, featuring things and people from the area. The Home Service brings an act of worship to your home. There is a Wellbeing show, Poetry and Writers Group Shows and 10Radio is often seen at local events.
