This is an post to keep you all informed as possible.
Due to the massive, and unexpected influx of holiday orders, we still have a backlog, even with the extra hands on deck, as well as doing all the hours we can to clear this, however the orders still keep mounting up. So in order to make sure that people get there orders shipped before Christmas we MAY have to close the site temporarily if we can make quick enough work of the backlog.
Hopefully it may not come to this as this is not ideal for us, but making orders already placed is the priority for us.

If sales do stop we will send another email out saying so and again when sales return.

If you ordered the mid November there is a delay as stated on the home page "Notice: Due to a the holiday uptake in orders and shortage of staff it will take longer to process your order. Hey guys, a lot of you have ordered from the website or are thinking of it leading upto Xmas.

If you're emailing asking where your order is there are delay notices on the website, about a hour each day we spend replying to these emails when we could be send the actual orders out, so please be patient 😊

The Chinese SECRETS to GREAT Beef Chow Mein - Mum and Son Professional Chefs Cook - This as we say in the video a Chinese takeaway/takeout version of this dish, if you'd like to see a much more traditional version of beef chow mein then please comment below. Also we had a comment one saying that chow mein was an American Chinese dish and not real, well you're kind of right, the work Chow Mein comes form Chaomin, the Cantonese word for fried noodles, which as has no become known as Chow Mein in western society, however Chaomin or in Mandarin it is Chaomian, have been cooked in China for 2,250 years, and wasn't invented in the US in the 1800... That was Chop Suey, where they threw everything at the end of the night into a pan and served that as that's all they had left.

People keep asking what’s the difference between the 2 books, the answer is everything, they have totally different recipes, we always say starting get book one, but book two has so much more, even has more recipes!!!!! The only place our cookbooks are sold are on our webstore www.ziangs.com (or click the link in bio), the full recipe list and details can be found on our webstore in the listing. It’s listed on Amazon, but it’s never been sold there, tried to have it taken down but as it’s part of the world library database it’s impossible. If you’re international (outside UK) email [email protected] and they can help you through how to ordered. We also sell MSG and the brands of ingredients that the takeaways use, which makes all the difference, so you can support our free content and buy that all from us, save yourself petrol and time as it will work out cheaper when all is factored in 😊 Hope this helps!

We used family and historical literature to recreate this traditional Chinese sausage fried rice recipe, obviously fried rice is subjective and can be whatever you want in it, its essentially the Chinese version of bubble and squeak. We also didn't use oyster sauce for this recipe because that wasn't invented until 1888, I know "what about the MSG" well we made an exception, as its doesn't add its own flavour like oyster sauce would, it just enhances the flavour that's already there. Another thing I know people will mention that Chinese rice wine wasn't used, historically the evidence says it was used in sauce dishes to enhance the gamey taste of meats, adding the wetness of Chinese rice wine to dishes that are traditional dry is a new things (1800s), but is that bad? No in some cases an improvement, but if that's your concern, you've missed the point of this video. If you'd like to see more historical cooking recipes, you need to comment!

Traditional style King Pao Chicken (NOT TAKEOUT), this recipe is true to the orginal verison of Kung Pao chicken, rather than the westernised verion we have no adays, this also works well with courgettes/zucchini which was used in this orginally, but I didn't add it because it also was made without it. Hope you enjoy this video, different to the normal takeaway stuff me make!
