Music lost one of life’s good souls on Saturday.
A true genius and someone who cared for nothing more than making someone ‘sound great’.
Damon sadly passed away after a very short battle with illness. Those of us around him in the last few months were lucky to spend some precious moments with him… moments of wisdom, of laughter and reflecting on the world.
But he never stopped caring about audio.
Earlier this year, he won “best audio” at a prestigious show in London. But he was humble and struggled to accept the praise. That was his nature. It was never about him.
We built something good with Crescent. We built something that sounded exceptional. And I’m sure we were headed for great times ahead.
But Damon leaves a hole that is hard to fill. He was the heartbeat of the studio. He was the soul of the place. And I’m sure his energy will live on there.
Damon left us far too early. He had so much more to give and to discover. But we are grateful for time we had with him.
RIP Damon! We love you.
