🌟 Celebrating 30 Years of the National Lottery! 🌟

Create Studios wishes the 𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐋𝐨𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐲 a very happy 30th birthday! Since 2012, with the incredible support of the National Lottery, the BFI Film Audience Network’s 1,900 members have brought 124,273 film screenings to life across 1,065 communities, reaching 4.2 million visitors in the heart of neighborhoods across the UK. That’s a lot of game-changing films, in a lot of places, for a lot of people!

We’re happy to be part of the BFI 𝐅𝐢𝐥𝐦 𝐀𝐮𝐝𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐍𝐞𝐭𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤, allowing us to grow our Sofa Screenings series and bring inspiring films to communities right here in Swindon. It’s our joy to create spaces where stories can be shared, and people can connect.

🌟 We are happy to announce that Create Studios is proudly part of Heritage Open Days—England’s largest festival celebrating history and culture, and it's all FREE! 🌟

Join us on Saturday, 7th September for a unique experience as we open the doors to our studio, housed in Brunel’s historic Carriage Works. This is your chance to explore our studio space, learn Swindon’s rich history, and enjoy some fantastic heritage films and artworks!

Here’s what you can expect:

🕒 Drop-in anytime between 10:30 – 15:30 for studio tours, and an introduction to our exciting new Sofa Screenings film programme.

🎥 Exciting Opportunity at Create Studios: FILM & MEDIA TUTORS AND ASSISTANTS🎥

Are you passionate about film and filmmaking? Do you have the energy and creativity to inspire the next generation of young filmmakers? Create Studios is thrilled to offer a unique opportunity to join our team as part of the National Saturday Club network, mentoring young talent in Swindon!

POSITIONS AVAILABLE:

1. Lead Tutors (2 positions available)
- Fee: £200 per session (including prep and follow-up) for 18 sessions
- Schedule: 10:00 AM – 12:30 PM on 18 Saturdays during school term time (dates below)
- Commitment:October 2024 – June 2025 (approx. 6 weeks per school term)
- Role: Mentor a group of 10 young filmmakers (ages 13-16), guiding them through 2-3 film projects with the support of an Assistant. You'll be based in our bright, friendly studio in the heart of Swindon, with full access to Create Studios’ facilities and equipment.

2. Assistant Mentors (2 positions available)
- Fee: £75 per session for 18 sessions
- Schedule: 10:00 AM – 12:30 PM on 18 Saturdays during school term time (dates below)
- Commitment:October 2024 – June 2025 (approx. 6 weeks per school term)
- Role: Support the Lead Tutors in guiding young filmmakers, ensuring smooth project progress, This role is perfect for recent film graduates or alumni of our Create Futures scheme.
