Today, Create had the opportunity of meeting Prime Minister, Sir Keir Starmer at the for Business and Trade’s launch of the new Small Business Plan at Workshed Swindon.

We were thrilled to have our brilliant team members, McCrae and Kiara Wakeley, invited to attend – chosen in part because of their inspiring journeys through apprenticeships. It's fantastic to see this recognised at a national level, and to have their voices included in key conversations about the future of small business.
Shahina Johnson MBE , our CEO, also joined the discussion, sharing insights on how social enterprises like Create, can be empowered to thrive – especially those rooted in creativity, community and opportunity.

Huge thanks to the DBT for hosting an event that puts Swindon people and purpose at the heart of business.

Kahaani is an exciting new heritage project that is being delivered by Create Studios and is funded by the The National Lottery Heritage Fund.

The project aims to capture on camera around 50 first and second generation South Asian stories of people living in Somerset, Dorset, Swindon and Wiltshire.

- Stories will be recorded, filmed and shared with young people and schools.

As a Camera Assistant, you’ll support the camera team, prep and maintain gear and get hands-on with the kit that captures the story - perfect for anyone eyeing the camera department.

If you're 18+ and based in Swindon, Wiltshire or Gloucestershire this is your chance to train with pros, work on set and build your skills.
