Photo Dump of our first day in San Francisio

As we spent most of the day on the plane we couldn’t wait to get out and exploring!

We headed to Pier 39 and visited the Sea Lions, Had a look in the quirky stores and then went to TGI Fridays for Dinner.

I look back now and realise it was all really overwhelming being in a new place, especially somewhere that was so loud and full of people on the first day!

My first time tiling (still need to wait for the adhesive to set so I can grout!) and I’m sooo pleased with it! I actually wanted to cry with happiness when I finished yesterday 🤍🩶

I may have started this project back in May, but we are finally at the end! Here is a little sneak peek of the completed panelling.

I did this entire project by myself, from start to finish and I’m so pleased with the results.

There are a couple of things I need to do to complete it. The doors all need one coat of paint and I just need to pick up some new photo frames, and find a runner to compliment the colours.

We are slowly but surely getting there with all the renovation work. Next up is to complete the kitchen tiling.

I finished crocheting my Forget-Me-Not Pillow which matches perfectly with my blanket (an amazing find from work)

I’m still working out where I should style my new cushion, either in my office area, on my bed, or here on the sofa!

I have recently seen flower pillows trending in the shops but it’s so fun to have made my own!

PAINT SAMPLES 🖌️
So I decided to choose some Lick samples as I love how you can order online - no decisions in the shops. And they are peel and stick so am able to move them about and see how they look in different areas!
After having them up for a few days and asking all of you and friends and family we have chosen the bottom right! ✨ Pink 05 ✨

We are going to panel this room and paint the panelling, skirting and built in wardrobes in Pink 05 and I still need to find a white shade for the top of the walls!

It's currently painted in magnolia which just brings back vibes of when I rented so it needs to be gone 😂 Our bedroom is a really good size and it needs painting before the new carpets go in so I can't wait to get on with this project 🥰

Pollyfilla (especially this one in the pot rather than the tube) has been my best friend in this journey
I don't know what the previous owners did to the walls but they were so damaged and dented in high traffic areas.

l also got halfway sanding everything down by hand when my parents told me they actually had an electric sander (😭😂 which made the whole job 10 quicker but also 10x messier...

🔑 2nd December 2022 🔑

The day we got our keys we didn’t complete until 5pm. We packed up the car with boxes 📦 as much of our things that we could fit from where we were staying. Most of my belongings had been in a storage unit for the past few months with removal men organised to move all of my things a week later.

We managed to get the electricity working after many calls to the supplier, and made a run to the shops to stock up on cleaning supplies.

We set up the second bedroom into a sort of base with our airbed and belongings and had our first night sleep in our own home 🥹

🏡 12th October 2022 🏡

We finally got our mortgage offer accepted which was a long time coming! The benefit to it taking so long did mean we were able to save more whilst waiting.

We managed to put our mortgage application in the day before all the interest rates soared so we were very lucky!

Next was to wait on solicitors and when we would get a date for exchange and completion!

✨ 18.07.22 ✨ We got our offer accepted!

We had viewed lots of different properties and this one was most definitely my favourite, I looked at the space and could just picture our life here.

The space, the location, the potential of the property all made sense.
