This month marks 69 years since the introduction of the iconic MGA. A car that broke new ground in terms of styling, performance and safety, and one that became an immediate success. Just over 1,000 cars were built before the end of 1955 and in 1956 they were streaming through the factory gates at Abingdon at the rate of 300 a week. In total over 100,000 examples were built over a seven year production run, with a large percentage finding their way into the American market.
Today they remain an extremely popular classic with our members all over the world. If you’re tempted to get behind the wheel of your very own MGA, be sure to check out our extensive Buying Guide videos on a full range of MG models over on our YouTube channel.
