A vulnerable Dorchester man who was left with no savings after he was quoted a bloated price for sub-standard gardening work has received an early Christmas present 🎁

A local firm heard how he had been ripped off for £36,000 for work that only cost £3,500 and decided to step in and clear the garden free of charge! Amazing to see 👏

Fantastic news to share as volunteers revealed a remarkable resurgence of wildlife on the Purbeck Heaths just five years after the UK's first-ever ‘super’ national nature reserve was created!

This includes an abundance of Dartford warblers, silver-studded blue butterflies, water voles and more!

Plans are being put together to create a giant solar farm in Dorset - enough to power around 27,000 homes 🏠

If it is built it would be one of the largest renewable energy projects on council-managed land in the south-west

Dorset Council says the land in question is "no longer best suited to traditional farming" as it has produced low agricultural yields
