The entry for the 2025 NASDAL Dental Check by One (DCby1) Practice of the Year award is approaching, with the closing date set as February 7, 2025.

The award seeks to recognise a practice that has successfully introduced the BSPD DCby1 into their practice.

Alex Cole-Hamilton, leader of the Scottish Liberal Democrats, has called on the the Scottish National Party (SNP) to end the crisis in NHS dentistry.

This follows data that has revealed 1.8 million adults registered had not seen a dentist in the last two years in Scotland.

The latest research has revealed that drinking coffee and tea has been associated with lower risks of developing head and neck cancer.

The researchers found that compared with non-coffee drinkers, individuals who drank more than four cups of caffeinated coffee daily had 30 per cent lower odds of having cancer of the oral cavity.
