Dental Nursing was launched in October 2005 and is the UK's only clinical and professional journal exclusively for dental nurses. Covering core clinical subjects such as infection control and medical emergencies, as well as more advanced topics such as oxygen administration, radiography and orthodontics, the journal also provides a forum for discussion of professional issues affecting dental nurses. The journal offers an accredited programme of continuing professional development.

This follows data that has revealed 1.8 million adults registered had not seen a dentist in the last two years in Scotland.

The latest research has revealed that drinking coffee and tea has been associated with lower risks of developing head and neck cancer.

The researchers found that compared with non-coffee drinkers, individuals who drank more than four cups of caffeinated coffee daily had 30 per cent lower odds of having cancer of the oral cavity.
