Following our activity of exploring the new Atlas of Cats book this morning we have set up a wild cats small world to explore. This was followed up by questions of are all the cats friends in the wild or do they fight and who is the strongest and fastest 🐆🦁🌿

I spy, a butterfly 🦋

Featuring the Butterfly Little Looking Shape 🌳

We have loved watching these little guys develop and grow, learning about the lifecycle and finally letting them fly free 🌳🦋🐛

We also spotted some other butterflies in our garden - a white one and a beautiful brown one which later got stuck in our conservatory so we had a rescue mission on our hands! 🦋

🌱 We’ve tried to grow a lot more in our garden this year…to make it easier for us! The new allotment is still very much work in progress this year.

In the garden, we’ve managed to grow a Finlay and his sunflower 🌻 sugar snap peas 🫛 cucumbers 🥒 butternut squash, dwarf green beans, lettuce and the pepper 🫑 sprouts, brocolli and pumpkins are off to an okish start…the weather is really hindering this year but so glad we’ve had the greenhouse to start everything off.

We had lots of potatoes from the allotment, although not as many as last year and a couple of strawberries and raspberries.
