Say a few scripted words in front of a mate and a camera.
Horrific.

Little while back I visited my friend at his studio, I'd like to say these are the bloopers but to be honest these are probably the f***ing highlights.

2026 I need to get better in front of the camera. But for now, enjoy my awkward mug in front of some misspelled signage.

I believe what I was trying to say is ...

I only entered these awards as I knew that I wanted to push myself and make sure I gave 100% at EVERY. SINGLE. WEDDING. Knowing I'd be judged by my peers and industry leading suppliers. Coming away with highly commended means I have both succeeded this year and given me more to push for next year.

Work has already started, new setups are being created, new processes put in place, more plans in motion.

The real winners are those clients whose weddings I have yet to perform at, they will get the best version of me 👊.

So last night I did a thing and got "Highly commended" at the Yorkshire and North East Final. Basically runner up (to a deserving winner) I want to take this opportunity to thank some people.

Firstly, my clients. Especially those who took the time to vote for me. I've no doubt your kind words carried me to the final and to this award. I get to see the client feedback in January and I'm excited to read it all, including any areas I can improve.

Secondly to my industry friends, honestly this is just the best industry to be in. Everyone is so lush, supportive and wants everyone to succeed. I think you're all superstars.

for throwing a great event last night and giving suppliers a chance to show off their amazing talents and giving them the recognition they deserve. Thank you to the judges who take time to go through people's entries, if any of them are reading this I'd love your honesty feedback on how I can improve. Next year I'm winning 👆

Finally, to my wife. Thank you for everything you do that allows me to go perform at all these weddings. It means nothing without you. 🤎

Unreal night for J&R last night.

Arriving at the stunning to see good friends and .good.wedding.films are on duty (so the pics and vids will be top tier) 🫡

Then take over and play alongside my old friend and my new friend on percussion 🥁 to create an unreal atmosphere 👀
