The studio works primarily in live on location sessions and studio based recording work for bands, singers, voicework and foley. Example projects range from bands recording demos/singles/showreels/EPs, vocalists performing to karaoke style backing tracks, to full length albums/music projects. Editing, reamping, mixing and mastering services are available with final mixes either "master ready" or masters compliant with red book/DDP and digital platform standards. We are located on the outskirts of Stourbridge town centre on Collis Street (just off Brettel Lane). It can be easily reached by car or public transport and is within easy reach of the surrounding areas (Netherton, Blackheath, Rowley Regis, Brierley Hill, Pensnett, Wordsley, Kingswinford, Wall Heath, Norton, Wolleston, Halesowen, Gornal, Sedgley, Wolverhampton, Oldbury). There are also several large supermarkets and fast food restaurant chains within a minutes walk of the studio. Equipment List: Computers, mixing consoles, microphones, software, outboard and amplifiers ranges from a large number of eras and brands such as AKG, Allen and Heath, Ampeg, Apple, Audio-Technika, Audix, Auratone, Brelliott Amps, Carlsbro, Eiosis, Fostex, Harrison, IK Multimedia, Klark-Technik, Mapex, MXL, Orange, Presonus, Propellerhead, PSPAudioware, Rode, SE Electronics, Shure, Slate Digital, Softube, Soundtoys, Soup Can Mics, Steinberg, Trace Elliot, Universal Audio (UAD), Vox, Watkins, Waves, Yamaha. Hey hey! Got this build of a Fender Twin Reverb done! Couple of different boards to achieve it (and I cheated slightly with PCBs due to case space) but we have a Wampler 65, Swamp Thing Tremolo and Belton Brick spring reverb on the go on here.

The unit acts like a twin with the added bonus of a gain k**b and toggle letting you push for Fender overdrive without the ear splitting volume! It also has a toggle on the tremolo for a wide range of speed settings.

Friday 28th February is the release date for Welcome To Stourbridge 3….

Digital: Will be available on Bandcamp as a free download.

CD: One time only Digifile release as before, however, I'm only ordering what's needed and will sell at cost of manufacture (no money going to charity this time unless there’s some surplus from the CDs).

CDs will cost £6 each, if you need it delivered please add an extra £3 for post (Royal Mail tracked). If you live within Stourbridge (or I hand delivered it last time) I'll do the same again when I've got them. Payment can be sent to the below Paypal link (or another way if that's easier for you).

Everything ready I think! Just one last question on releases.....

I will put the album on Bandcamp as before. What I'd like to know though is the following....

-Is there still interest in a CD version?
-If so digipack again or plastic wallet?
-Do I charge for just price of materials (and bandcamp free) or try to raise for charity again (I think the amount generated will be lower than last time however).

Starting to do final calls on songs!

So far there’s 7 in. I know there’s a few others floating out there in the ether so it would be good to get them in now or an ETA so I can begin to plan a release date etc.

Ey up! Thought I'd creep up from the desk to offer a build....

Anyone here interested in a Fender Twin Reverb style pedal? I envision a larger aluminum case (black naturally) with essentially a whole channel. It'll have most of the functions you'd expect (gain, volume, 3 band EQ, tremolo, reverb). The tremolo and reverb can be footswitch or toggle operated, however you intend to use it (or either a stompbox or on top a head) and I can add a gain boost to give it a cranked overdrive without the need to actually make it so fender loud the building shakes apart 🤣

The reverb could be one k**b like the Twin or have a few options instead... depends what circuit I actually go for (Belton brick reverb is my preferred choice).

Price... estimated around £150-200.

I've been offered a real Sansamp Bass Driver for a price I couldn't refuse, so selling off my handwired stripboard clone with mods (I'll have four different bass driver style pedals at this point otherwise!).

Comes in a 1590XX case (145x121x39mm), offers the same functionality of a Bass driver minus the Di section. I also added mods to have an extra gain stage on the drive (the “boost” toggle), a second footswitch with its own drive and volume k**b so you can swap between a cleaner always on sound and more overdriven sound and line level it (kinda like what a programmable BD does), and also a toggle to add diode clipping (which is admittedly a little “experimental” at higher drive states).

£70+ P&P. Yes you could get a Behringer BDDI for cheaper, but it's muddy on the lows and in a crap plastic case and footswitch (which broke on one gig for me).
