7:20am - the A51 is still closed this morning. I’ve just gone past in a taxi and there’s no sign of it opening up.

Megan Rogers, one of Stone's PCSOs, has issued an update on policing in the town over the summer holidays via the Staffordshire Smart Alert system.

Today I have been on cycle patrol around Stone and the mobile police station has also been present at the canoe club carpark.

🚧 Roadworks Alert! 🚧

Heads up - mk2! The A51 (from Aston Roundabout to Lichfield Rd) will be FULLY CLOSED (footpath remains open) from Saturday, 20th July at 07:00 until 2nd August at 20:00 for essential highway repair and maintenance works - Micro surfacing.

🔄 Important Note: Digital signs along this stretch indicate a closure from July 21st to July 31st, so be prepared for possible changes. We'll keep you updated!! 🚗💨
