An independent production studio, rehearsal space, editing escape and performance setting with quality tech and pro-equipment. UP Studio Stockport is the perfect place to record, mix, listen, write and film your next wave of promotional material or original music. There's comfy sofa's, breakout spaces and all of the amenities you need to feel at home, as well as some of the best tech on the market

to capture your next project. The space spans over 1000 square feet with two large live rooms, isolated control spaces, a dedicated mixing suite and storage spaces for cases and other bits. It's been treated with quality materials, and offers a warm, bright, natural acoustic sound collected some of the best quality microphones in the industry. Our interior designers also went to town, making it the perfect backdrop to film sessions and create promotional materials which can be fed directly to your customers, and others who have booked or enquired within the Ultimate Productions Network. We’re located inside a large business park surrounded by traditional Art Deco style character buildings, rugged metal staircases, grungy concrete structures and big metal shipping containers. On first look it can seem messy and unkept, but it’s beauty is undeniable. There’s so many hidden spots for some cool footage or alternative shots.

The full reveal!

There’s no distractions, just great sound in our dedicated mixing suite. It’s heavily insulated with thick 10mm foam from floor to ceiling, with carpets, diffusers and soft furnishings to create a cosy, dry space to listen back to mixes, master finished projects, and escape to listen to your favourite tracks for inspiration.

We’ve ensured its space is dim with ambient warm lighting to help stimulation and focus, and there’s a host of professional speaker setups to choose from to make sure the final product sounds prefect, no matter how it’s listened to.

The booth is complete! Exposed brick, overhead pipes and a sloping concrete ceiling make this space so cool to record in.

It’s now carpeted with some diffusers in place to help control the ambience but the room is naturally reflective, perfect for snare experimentation, vocal performances and instrumental solos!

It’s also linked up to both control rooms for extra flexibility.

A nice chilled day at the studio. We had Lea Mullen tuning some of his snares and congas, as well as and the band prepping some original tunes for their upcoming gig on 7th September.

Coffee was shared, drum sticks and magazines were exchanged and the classic musician phrase “so do you know (insert name here)” was said countless times.

A great day. Also, there’s some exciting news to come on plans to extend the community of musicians down in the basement!
