Now showing: 'One Hand Washes The Other'

A collaboration made with Constant Follower and the centrepiece of their Tolbooth Stirling exhibition which opens today, the short film is a celebration of creative community.

Also showing are films by Michael Prince, Fiona Burton, and George Farrow-Hawkins.

The exhibition runs from today until the 26th of February, Tuesday to Saturday, 10-5pm.

The centrepiece of our exhibition at Tolbooth Stirling is a short film we're making with Vivid Affect Productions called 'One Hand Washes The Other'. The name is from a German saying 'eine hand wascht die andere'. Which I reckoned meant that you need others to get by. Someone said it was more like 'backhanders make the world go round' ha! But I think it's about helping each other - which is what the exhibition and the film is all about. I brought all of the musicians who were on the album together one more time to make a special piece of music (with some Mark Tranmer piano at the core), to celebrate the friendships we developed as we worked together on the album and other projects that stemmed from that. It'll show at Stirling's Tolbooth from 8th Feb, and online later.

Hopefully you managed to catch the fantastic shows which made up the latest series of Tolbooth Stirling's 'Tolbooth Shindig'.
