Just a day to go until the next Christmas movie extravaganza! Hope to see you there.

What's your favourite Christmas film? Tom Christie is with us at Falkirk Library on Thursday to take us on a whistlestop tour of festive flicks past. If you could book a spot, so we can make sure there are enough biscuits, we'd be much obliged. Link in the comments.

Tom has written several books on the subject (and lots of other things besides) and is a lecturer at Forth Valley college. Head to Forth Valley news for details: https://www.forthvalley.ac.uk/news-events/fvc-evening-class-lecturer-publishes-20th-book

Extremis Publishing is delighted to announce that "Mundaneum: The Shocking True Story of the Man who Invented the Internet and the Man who Destroyed It", the new book by the award-winning author Mel Croucher, is available to buy from today.

With "Mundaneum", Mel Croucher provides an enthralling account of Belgian data management pioneer Paul Otlet, creator of the Mundaneum global information retrieval system, and German propagandist Hans Hagemeyer who was responsible for the project's eventual destruction. The vast differences and chilling parallels drawn between the lives of these two diametrically-opposed individuals, who met only once, illuminates this fascinating tale of the man who invented the Internet and the man who would eventually obliterate his efforts from history.

"Mundaneum" is available for purchase from independent bookstores and online retailers. For more information about the book, including participating online retailers, please visit our "Mundaneum" page at: https://www.extremispublishing.com/mundaneum.html
