Extremis Publishing is delighted to announce the forthcoming release of "The Courage to Speak: S*x, S*xuality and the Church" by the Rev. Dr Alasdair Black.

This highly anticipated new book by theologian Alasdair Black offers a thought-provoking exploration of changing social attitudes towards s*x and s*xuality, while challenging readers to adapt to these shifts with grace, empathy, and a commitment to faith-based values. In a nuanced and compassionate discussion of these pressing issues, the author explores the evolution of societal attitudes towards gender, identity, and relationships; the tension between traditional Christian values and contemporary perspectives; practical suggestions for fostering inclusion and understanding within communities; and strategies for navigating difficult conversations about s*x and s*xuality without compromising core beliefs.

Dr Black is a highly respected writer and speaker with decades of experience addressing faith-based issues in the context of contemporary society. Known for his ability to engage audiences with clarity and understanding, Dr Black has become a leading voice in promoting thoughtful dialogue on challenging topics. For over twenty years, he has been the Senior Pastor of Stirling Baptist Church.

In this new episode of the Traditionally Speaking Podcast, it's time to take a look at not just one but two Christmas legends! We all know Santa Claus and his iconic red suit... but what about his rather more Bacchanalian counterpart, Father Christmas? Nowadays the two names seem interchangeable, but that wasn't always the case. In this episode, Joe and Tom take a look at both figures and consider both the differences and the similarities between them.

Did you receive a Sinclair ZX Spectrum for Christmas back in the eighties? Or perhaps you've just got hold of the new, revived model, The Spectrum from Retro Games Ltd., and are feeling nostalgic for the festive games of yesteryear. The Courier UK has just published an article by Graeme Strachan in which Tom Christie, author of "A Very Spectrum Christmas: Celebrating Seasonal Software on the Sinclair ZX Spectrum", takes a look at some of the standout Christmas games that were released for the system. Some were classics, some have disappeared into the mists of Christmas past, and some were simply out-and-out surreal in the way only eighties games could be.

To read the article, please visit The Courier's website at: https://www.thecourier.co.uk/fp/past-times/5142121/zx-spectrum-christmas-computer-games-profile/

How many of these seasonal games did you find in your Christmas stocking?
