It’s always wonderful to see our customers recognised and even more so when they go as far as winning!

We heard the wonderful news last week that won most effective brand development and candidate experience at the recruiter awards 2024 that myself and the team led the film, design and content creation on.

It was close to 6 months in the making and involved 20 talented employees of Staffordshire County Council sharing their journey. So often this type of content can forget about the individual and myself and the team were passionate about ensuring the stories were all told from the perspective of the impact on the individual.

Well done to all the people services team!

We joined up with them recently to meet their new ambassador Bradley Simpson from the Vamps and went on a tour to meet some of the children and families the Birmingham Children's Hospital and Charity cares for.

When I was 8 or 9 I remember my grandpa helping me identify birds in an ispy book as he shared his love for nature with me. There was one bird, a red kite that we both really wanted to see and I'd keep asking if every buzzard was that bird But he'd remind me they're almost extinct in the uk. 30 years later and every trip down the motorway I'll see dozens of them thanks to the work that organisations like the do protecting our natural habitats and reintroduction programs. Conservation is close to my heart and all the team at Lilac and we've been on a journey over this passed year working on a project celebrating the incredibly beautiful Silver Flowe and Merrick in Galloway and Southern Ayrshire. The documentary looks at the changing of the seasons, across a timeless area that most would be unaware exists. Like so many areas of outstanding natural beauty it needs awareness and support to protect it for future generations. We'll be sharing more exciting news about the upcoming release but until then hope you enjoy the pictures at the end of your week.

Today is ! I’m fortunate that I have 3 children that diligently police me about all things recycling as well as some fantastic clients like Staffordshire County Council and Supply Chain Sustainability School that has given us a great insight into sustainability.

Today however we had the wonderful opportunity of showcasing a huge success story for Mitie. In the course of a year they have built a scheme that see’s 85% of all waste at London Euston train station recycled for Network Rail

As all the elements are meticulously hand separated the cost of sale on the recycled material is enough to cover the salaries of 16 jobs making it cost neutral for Network Rail and allowing Mitie to create even more local jobs.

A fantastic achievement all round! Well done Network Rail and Mitie, Euston is one of the cleanest stations I’ve been to recently!
