Jinx Media Ltd Powertool Cheerleaders out now on streaming UK/US! KillerKiller on Amazon Prime! http://www.jinx.co.uk It has since been rereleased on budget label Shriek.

The company's first feature was TrashHouse, a wild horror-comedy which was released in the UK in January 2006 following a premiere screening at the TromaFling festival in September 2005, where it was awarded the 'Best Screenplay' award and runner up for 'Best UK Feature'. The initial UK DVD release, via Screen Entertainment, saw the movie on the shelves of all major rental outlets including Blockb

uster, where it performed brisk business and established what Fangoria later described as a 'cult following'. Jinx followed up this remarkable debut with KillerKiller, a critically acclaimed slasher movie with a subversive twist. KillerKiller was released on DVD in the USA in 2007, and has since been released in territories all across the globe. In July 2008, the film was released theatrically for a limited run in selected UCI cinemas in Germany prior to DVD release in that territory. This was followed by Hellbride, winner of 'Commended' status at the Festival of Fantastic Film 2007 in Manchester and listed as a 'Red Alert' in SFX magazine. This feature was released in the US in May 2009, and in the UK via Fremantle Media in March 2010. Jinx's fourth movie was The Devil's Music, a film about notorious shock rocker Erika Spawn which probably stands as Jinx Media's most controversial and critically acclaimed movie yet. It was the outright winner of the Independent Feature category at the Festival of Fantastic Film 2008, before debuting via online screening in the UK via Indie Movies Online. This heavily advertised and dynamic online release strategy was bolstered by a fantastic traditional DVD release in the US courtesy of Lono Entertainment. Jinx Media has a full production slate for the future, with announced titles including House on the WitchPit, along with a segment of recently completed anthology movie Bo****lo Death Tales. Pat Higgins has also written the screenplay for 2011's high profile feature St*****rs vs Werewolves. The company remains based in Leigh-on-Sea, Essex, England, and founders Pat and Pippa Higgins remain the driving force behind the company.

Our 2006 horror KillerKiller is still available on Amazon Prime for a bit longer. It was wildly ambitious for the available resources but we're still very proud of what we achieved with so little cash. The location in which most of it is shot, Warley Hospital, has long since been knocked down and turned into luxury flats. It was a genuinely creepy place to film.

Powertool Cheerleaders vs the Boyband of the Screeching Dead has recently dropped on Tubi in a bunch of territories. I *think* the Google TV rental option has also just extended to China. Its lovely to see the movie finding its audience and connecting with people. We all worked really hard on it and are proud of the finished film; please do check it out and spread the word if you get the chance.

We get asked about the back catalogue quite often. Some are available on streaming, some only on long-deleted DVDs. One day we'll sort it all out and reunite them. One day.

I wrote a little ramble about film releases and eating cornflakes.

The release day of a film is always a little strange for me. The first time I ever experienced this was back in 2006, when a lack of product in the marketplace and the difficulties of digital filmm…

Hey filmmakers! Sales agents! Distributors! I'm putting together the media for this year's Horror On Sea Film Festival live show "Sell Your Bloody Movie" and I want your war stories!

Sold a film? Bought a film? Failed to do either? If you could record a one-minute video with your advice about the experience for the wonderful H-o-S audience and I'll screen as many as I can fit. If you'd rather send me a written anecdote I'll read out a bunch of those too.

Hope you've had a brilliant Christmas and New Year and can't wait to see you at the festival!

Peace n love
Pat

The people who tell you that you HAVE to shoot in a particular format, that you HAVE to do this or that...
..those people are probably trying to keep you out of somewhere, or perhaps sell you a camera.

To hell with gatekeeping. Go shoot your movie.

Jinx Media is looking to the future, having wrapped Powertool Cheerleaders Vs Boyband of the Screeching Dead this week!

While the movie goes through post-production and heads out to audiences in 2022, we're weighing up our options on the properties that we own and looking at the best ways forward for our back-catalogue. We've got a couple of exciting shorter projects coming up over the next few months and are already in development for our next wildly ambitious feature (likely to go in front of the cameras in summer 2023)

We hope you'll join us on the next stage of our adventure...
