Making a record is daunting. The first time I went into the studio when I was 16, all I could think was “this is my shot at getting the sound in my head to a place where the world can hear”. I had a lot of misconceptions about recording, a lot of worry and a lot of reserves. We all would. We all do. Making a record is genuinely opening a part of who you are up and showing it to the world. Of course it can be daunting. Dreams needs to be handled with care. Unfortunately, mine wasn’t. I was left with a record I didn’t like, feeling slightly cheated and completely disrespected. I was determined to never let it happen to me again, or to any other artist. That’s why I founded Armistice Records. To be the record company I would have wanted to have produced my record back when I was younger. Since I made that promise, 3 years ago I have built two recording studio facilities, spent a year at Abbey Road Studios, met Nile Rodgers and a bunch of other massive names and a load of other exciting things that I could bore you for hours with. But I’m not going to. Your record starts with you. And Armistice Records is all about you, the artist. So in essence, this is your story.
“Our band’s experience with Armistice Records is not one which I will forget, and I’m sure my band and I will be recording with them again. The day went swimmingly other than a minor technical difficultly due to the studio being equipped with new state of the art gear and the short amount of time lost was fully compensated (with extra recording time even added). The professionalism shown from Ollie and Jack was exceptional, and it was perfectly balanced with good humour and free snacks. This is a production company and label we will be recording our album with, and we would like to thank them for such a warm introduction to “the studio”.”
“Ollie’s ability to add to a song and advise on a concept, as well as further his client’s ideas, proves a dealmaker in a producer artist relationship. His easy going nature and friendliness has provided an apt artistic environment to produce original music and his determination to make the final product what you want means it is hard to not value of his effort and be proud of the final result. An honour to work with.”

“When I started working with Ollie, I had no idea of the whole process of releasing my own music. He mentored me and was always available for advice or calming down my nerves. He has an incredibly good feeling for music arrangements, melodies and harmonies and always knows where I want to go with a song without even telling him. He communicates with me on a very regular base and always sticks to his promises. I can highly recommend Ollie as your Producer for your own music as he is a keeper.”
- Resa Anna
“I am a songwriter with releases on Warner, Sony, Ministry and Hed Kandi. I have been working with Ollie and Armistice Records this year on my new showreel and would very much recommend Ollie as a producer and arranger. He has an amazing ear, sensitivity to the song and is forward thinking in terms of production style and trends. I am very pleased with my new tracks.”
