Meall a’Bhùiridh 🏴
We arrived at the Glencoe ski centre just before 9am. The car park was already getting busy. Everyone must have been there for the skiing and snowboarding as Gaz and I only saw one other walker as we ascended the Munro.
Conditions were icy before the snow line and there was plenty of the white stuff after it. We didn’t need our grampons and ice axes but I don’t think that would’ve been the case if it wasn’t for our treking poles.
After reaching the summit, the poor visibility and strong winds stopped us from loitering. We decided (I’m looking at you Gaz) to head back down using the unused ski-lift as our guide. The short-cut had deep snow in parts. We were taking turns at laughing at each other and cursing ourselves as we fell into the snow past our knees. Before we knew it, we were back at the car taking off our boots and making our way home along the A82.
Yet another amazing walk logged into the diary.
