Good day to you all. Mrs. Biddle again, with news of the show tomorrow night that you should all listen to. Last week, the buffoon started talking and there was no sound, even though there was sound just before the show started. Personally, I think it sounded better without that Mark Rodriguez going on, but what do I know? Anyway, tomorrow is the second of the two Christmas specials starring me. Oh and the others will be there too. There's also a special guest appearance, which is a big secret, so you'll need to tune in to see who it is and what they are doing. I shall be delivering the Sound Project Christmas Message as is customary and once the show is over, I shall be throwing my girdle in a suitcase and getting ready to come home. Staying with this lot in Spain is fine, but I can't wait to get home to some proper food and the King's English.
See you tomorrow on Radio HLR from 8pm UK time / 9pm Spanish time.

Come and join me, International DJ José, the lovely Jo and Mrs. Enid Biddle of Seaview Cottage, Tibet, for an unforgettable Christmas show full of excellent music - NO Mariah Carey - and hilarious Christmas stories. Of course, nothing is as it seems. Having tested the microphones before the show, everything was working perfectly, only for there to be no sound after the first song. After a reboot, it all came back and this recording has Mrs. Biddle explaining why - well, I paid for her to fly out here and do the voiceovers, so she needs to earn her keep! Enjoy, because we're going to do it all again next week!

Good evening. This is Mrs. Enid Biddle; Mrs. Biddle to my friends, ma'am to you! I've taken over that Mark Rodriguez' social media tonight. My step nephew, Slasher, has been giving me lessons whilst I visit him once a month in...erm...his new home.

I'm here then, in Spain, and ready to bring joy to the hearts of millions on The Sound Project with Mark Rodriguez this coming Monday for the first of his Christmas Specials. That Mark Rodriguez is here of course. Honestly, having my gall bladder removed by someone who resembled Rod Hull was less painful than seeing him, but it's his show, so I have to do it. He picked me up from the airport and brought me to this stalag, which is to be my home for the next 10 days.

It doesn't matter though, International DJ José is also here and he's lovely; he's so kind, obedient and intuitive. I make him sound like Lassie don't I? Mind you, at least he doesn't lick his privates or drag his bum across the floor because of the worms. Well, not that I've seen!

Anyway, I've been doing my voice exercises, gargling with Oranjeboom, so I'll be ready for Monday. Do join us all. Apparently some Liverpudlian woman is coming too, so I'll be sure to bring my translator with me. Or I'll just do what I normally do...speak louder and slower. I'm sure she won't take offence.

So, see you Monday for the show. Tell everyone we're on and won't forget, the music is all unusual (it says here). You're telling me! I've heard it. Still, there's no Mariah Carey, or Wizzard or that fella with the silly curly hair shouting about Christmas, so it can't all be bad. Mind you, you might not be saying that AFTER the show! Ta ta for now x

So, one of the things in the Live Lounge that used to bug me was that, if you said something innocuous like "Isn't it nice to hear this track again", the words Isn't It would not appear as it would think we were talking about a lady's chesticles. NOT ANY MORE!! After a day of searching for how to do it and getting the correct login details, I've been able to amend the list of bad words and have taken this one off, along with a couple of others.

You still can't say [Oops, Naughty!] though! 😂😂😂😂

Come and join Mark for Funky Monday, when, despite having done all the usual pre-show checks, he kept getting an error message on the screen. He got through it though, with songs from Lianne Carroll, Chaka Khan, Baccara, The Jacksons, Cheri, Surface Noise, Melba Moore, Kool & The Gang and loads more. And the story of the woman who face-planted at the Indian Restaurant on Saturday has to be heard to be believed!

Join me tonight for The Massachusetts Experience, where the music should be excellent. I say should be because I've not chosen it yet and I'm out for most of the day so ANYTHING could happen!! 😂😂

We're back to a regular Funky Monday this week and along with tracks from Donna Summer, Maggie Reilly & Taco, Pigbag, The Jacksons, Chaka Khan, Imaani and so on, there's the usual nonsense from Casa Rodriguez. There are also plenty of features this week, including The One That Got Away (which the live loungers were glad had got away!), Ridiculous Disco (and even I was glad when that one finished!) + Mark's big 12incher, which this week featured a global megastar. Enjoy x

For some reason, Facebook won't let me share this post, so I've copied and pasted it below the line. Please vote for Russ Lorenson and let's get him on the top 100 again. And by the way, Russ will feature on The Sound Project with Mark Rodriguez Christmas show this year. Thank you ❤️

Every year at Martini in the Morning, they ask listeners to tell them their favorite Holiday Songs for their annual Holiday Music Poll Top 100. The station has been wonderful to me over the years by including me in their holiday playlist, and I'd like to be a part of it again this year.

I'm asking my fans to submit one of my holiday tunes for this year's 18th annual Holiday Music Poll Top 100 Countdown! I know that "Christmas In San Francisco" is always the sentimental favorite (from my first album, way back in 2006!), but I was hoping we could get a little love for one of my newer tracks this year.

I'd love it if people would submit "You're All I want For Christmas." (You can take a listen here: https://open.spotify.com/track/2g8cCWFKITXuroPo1paTai ). Kelly Park and I took an old Christmas ballad and really revved it up with a swingin' big band arrangement and I'd love the Martini In The Morning audience to hear it.

From now until November 26, you can submit your choice and they'll will count all the votes and check the list twice. Then, tune in on November 29th to hear if your song made the list.

Vote early and often! https://www.martiniinthemorning.com/holiday-music-poll-2/

....and so it's show 56 on The Sound Project and Christmas is approaching. Cue an advert for stories for The Sound Project Christmas shows. Please share our advert on all your socials and let's get some brilliant stories in. But tonight, you'll hear brilliant songs from Beverley Craven, Nina Simone, Will Young, Michael Jackson, Betty Driver, Swing A Dilla, Sandy Posey, Modern Romance and loads more, as well as how Mark and International DJ José ended up naked in a bath outside whilst all the neighbours were able to look on. Intrigued? Then listen in and all will be revealed (but not as much as Mark and José in the bath!! LOL) Enjoy the show x
