History:
A recording studio is only as good as it's equipment, acoustics and engineer. Kevin Thorpe has over 16 years of production and performing experience in the music scene. From 1998 to 2011 Kevin managed a successful record company that released over 800 singles. His personal productions have been featured on several commercial compilations and gained airtime on BBC Radio 1 where Kevin has even personally featured live on two occasions. Whether you require a natural free sounding production or a super fat and chunky dancefloor track, Kevin has the skill and experience to both capture and mix a superb quality all round sound. With two in house photographers, you can get the best of both worlds. Daniel Fletcher is a young and enthusiastic photographer with a modern, artistic edge. Chris Patrick has over 30 years of professional, traditional photography experience under his belt. Both are friendly and welcoming so you can feel comfortable and confident for your shoot.

Welcome to Big Jam Studios: A central hub of creativity for both visual and auditory art forms established in 2011 by producer and DJ Kevin (Energy) Thorpe.

Big Jam offers a wide range of services to the music, corporate and wedding industries, as well as hiring out our unique studio to fellow creatives.

In 2018, Big Jam Studios became one of the most exciting businesses in Kent by opening the doors to our newly custom built music, photography and video studio in Sittingbourne, Kent. We have an exciting space with finely tuned zones for music recording, photography and video. Big Jam boasts a large infinity wall, mind blowing lighting FX and the ability to broadcast live streaming to social media that looks and sounds as crisp and clear as can be.

We take pride in our work and are always striving to hone new techniques with every booking. We believe in transparent pricing, quality customer service, and creating a friendly working atmosphere. Whether you are an aspiring singer recording for the first time or a large organisation producing a high budget video, we will offer the same personalised one-to-one service to create what you need.
