I’m signing off for Christmas and honestly, it’s been one hell of a year.
Some incredible highs, some seriously challenging and overwhelming moments.
And a whole lot of lessons in between.
For someone whose job requires them to be online pretty much all the time, I’m taking this Christmas break as a proper log off and recharge.
When I reflect on what I’m most proud of this year, there are some big milestones:
• Getting my own office
• Launching The Rookie CEO platform
• Graduating 🎓
But the thing I’m most proud of?
Learning to be a bit more selfish with my time.
This year pushed me to breaking point. I tried to give everyone and everything all of me, until I quite literally ended up in hospital with stress. And that was the wake-up call I needed.
Because that pace?
That pressure?
That constant availability?
It’s not sustainable.
So if you’re heading into Christmas feeling like you don’t even enjoy what you do anymore, I want you to pause and ask yourself:
• Do I really need to reply within minutes?
• Do I need to attend every single event?
• Can I pre-plan content and allow myself some digital detox time?
Rest is productive.
Boundaries are healthy.
And slowing down doesn’t mean you’re failing.
So please, rest, recharge and look after yourself.
I’ll see you all in 2026 ✨
