Running a business can be lonely so I feel very fortunate that I’ve met some incredible people along the way.

Some of which, are brave enough (or silly enough) to say hell yes to trekking 50KM across the Kent Downs with me for the Heart of Kent Hospice 💚

This was about 35KM in yet we were all still laughing and encouraging eachother to keep going 🙌

I’m in awe of everyone’s generosity in donating and I can’t thank you enough.

The best feeling in the world crossing that finish line 💪

We set off at 8am and crossed back over the finish line at 8:30pm… the Prosecco was well deserved!

Thank you so much to everyone that donated - and to our friends and family that have supported us 🫶

We’ve raised an incredible amount of money for the Heart of Kent Hospice and that was what it was all about 💚

Now to spend the day not moving very much and tending to my broken body 🫣🤣

Yesterday as I was walking out of the office a client stopped me and I thought… uh oh am I in trouble?! (Kidding, of course)

They told me how they’d just secured a new client and when asked why they chose them it was because they’d been following their LinkedIn page for a while and really loved what they’d been putting out.

This is what it’s all about 🙌

Growing a presence, building your authority so that when a client is ready to use you… they have zero doubts!!

There’s no quick wins or hacks for organic social media success, it takes time, planning and a persistent as heck social media manager like me 🤣

Hands up if you’ve ever whacked a trending song over your reel without even thinking about it 🙋‍♀️

Yeah… we’ve all done it. But here’s the thing nobody really tells you: if you’re on a business account, you don’t have the rights to use copyrighted tracks.

Best case? Your reel gets muted.

Worst case? The algorithm isn’t your mate anymore.

I promise you that you don’t need Beyoncé or Harry Styles to make your content land.

Royalty-free music is better than you think (I swear) AND original audio is having a big moment right now. People actually want to hear you.

So before you hit post, just remember: muted reels = wasted effort.

What a special evening last night at The Rookie CEO club 🫶

Our charity auction raised an incredible amount extra £650 bringing our charity trek fundraising up to £2395 for the 🙌

Thank you to everyone who has donated whether that be a service, money or just your time coming to our events.

Each month I’m in awe by the incredible speakers, this month we had Laura Burke and our very own Sam Fuszard - you both smashed it 👏

This event has become everything I wanted it to be, supportive, laid back and just leaving me feel energised when I leave!!

I built The Rookie CEO Club events to be a space where people can learn and be honest with each other.

So how could I sustain that if I wasn’t being honest with my own audience?

That’s why last month I shared my own journey with burnout, a journey I’m still actively managing every day.

Here’s the point: in marketing, you have to mean what you say and show what you do.

If you’re selling something (even if it’s not for financial gain), demonstrate it, live it, prove it.

That’s what builds trust.
