At the September The Rookie CEO Club event, I got real.

I spoke honestly about some of the toughest days I’ve had this year. The ones where I was doing everything I could to hold things together, when all I really wanted to do was retreat and disappear for a bit.

That’s the part of business people don’t always talk about.

The fear.
The pressure.
The quiet moments when you wonder if you’re really cut out for it.

But here’s the thing, sharing your vulnerability doesn’t make you weak...it makes you human. And it’s exactly what helps you grow into a stronger, more grounded business owner.

That’s what I want The Rookie CEO space to be, somewhere you can share, learn, and grow together. Because at the end of the day, we’re all just trying to become the best versions of ourselves, both in business and in life.

“How did The Rookie CEO Club start?”

Honestly? I was just fed up.

Fed up with being told to invest thousands in stuff I couldn’t afford at the start of my business journey.

Fed up with advice that sounded great on a podcast but didn’t help me write a single caption or win a single client.

So I created Rookie CEO, not to add to the noise, but to cut through it.

It started as an event. A space where people could learn the skills they need to walk into any room with confidence, without spending a month’s rent.

And then I realised… one evening wasn’t enough.

People didn’t just need a pep talk. They needed ongoing support, real training, and a place that made marketing feel human again.

So the platform was born.

A low-cost, practical alternative to expensive courses. Packed with screen-recorded tutorials, compliance breakdowns (like what music you can legally use), networking strategy tips, and the things no one tells you about building a business.

Because you don’t need a fancy funnel.

You just need someone to show you how to do the thing...step by step.

And that’s exactly what we do.

Race day at Brands Hatch yesterday 🏁

I forgot how much I loved watching lorries hurtle 100mph down a race track 🫢

Of course I couldn’t help but spend my day dissecting the branding and sponsorships on the cars and lorries.

Tyre brands, car services, car hire etc all advertised front and centre as the queue up on the start lane.

Such a clear demonstration of knowing and understanding your audience to invest in putting yourself right in their eye line 👏

Running a business can be lonely so I feel very fortunate that I’ve met some incredible people along the way.

Some of which, are brave enough (or silly enough) to say hell yes to trekking 50KM across the Kent Downs with me for the Heart of Kent Hospice 💚

This was about 35KM in yet we were all still laughing and encouraging eachother to keep going 🙌

I’m in awe of everyone’s generosity in donating and I can’t thank you enough.

The best feeling in the world crossing that finish line 💪

We set off at 8am and crossed back over the finish line at 8:30pm… the Prosecco was well deserved!

Thank you so much to everyone that donated - and to our friends and family that have supported us 🫶

We’ve raised an incredible amount of money for the Heart of Kent Hospice and that was what it was all about 💚

Now to spend the day not moving very much and tending to my broken body 🫣🤣

Same time next year?!

A Rookie took my advice and secured a £4k job the very next day 👏

I didn’t perform any miracles, I just gave them the confidence and mindset shift to put themselves out there… and showed them exactly how to do it.
