Shrewsbury Folk Festival has released its complete 2025 line-up following the announcement of four new artists.

Providing an unrivalled variety of folk, Americana and world music over August Bank Holiday weekend along with a strong family focus as part of the programme, this is a not to be missed event.

The festival combines extensive programmes of music, dance, crafts, arts and more for children and teenagers. There is also more than 100 hours of programmed workshops, sessions and activities from music, dance, crafts, yoga, walks and more.

Lambing Live is coming to Park Hall Countryside Experience next month.

This special family event takes place during the February half term, from February 15th – March 2nd.

Alongside the potential to see lambs being born on the farm, Park Hall will host a wide range of activities and fun for all. Head to Love Shrewsbury for details and to book your ticket.

At Park Hall Countryside Experience you have the chance to see a lamb being born during half term. Lambing Live takes place in their huge indoor barn, where births add to the 16 million ewes that give birth in the UK every year.

Shrewsbury BID are seeking artists to get involved for a mini mural trail in 2025.

The trail theme will be ‘Myths, Legends and Folk Tales of Shropshire’ to celebrate the county’s culture, history and creativity utilising a variety of street furniture as your canvas.

Weston Park's popular Christmas Markets will return this weekend with more than 100 artisan food and craft traders.

The markets will take place over two weekends at the stately home on the Shropshire/Staffordshire border with the first one being held on November 30 and December 1.

The second will take place on December 7 and December 8, with shoppers invited to enjoy a selection of mouthwatering treats and browse a range of handcrafted gifts between 10am and 4pm.

The Santa Experience includes an exclusive family visit to Santa and his elves in the grotto, along with an interactive pantomime style show, which this year is The Flying Reindeer School.

Tickets for this years Shrewsbury Charity Bonfire and Fireworks Spectacular are now on sale.

The event, which takes place at the DMOS People West Mid Showground on Saturday, November 2, will include two amazing fireworks displays and live music from 90s chart-topper The Tamperer, The 90s Revival, and Shrewsbury singing sensation Katie Brisbourne.

Magic, pumpkins and creepy critters are heading to Weston Park this October half term.

The estates team have lined up three days of Halloween Horror activities from October 29 to October 31.

The estate’s magnificent, four-acre Walled Garden will be transformed into a Haunted Hollow complete with pumpkin patch, animal encounters and creepy critter shows from Zoolabs.

Park Hall Countryside Experience is preparing for its Halloween event with a delivery of 3,500 pumpkins, which are heading to the Oswestry farm attraction.

Pumpkinfest will be held on the 11th, 12th, 13th, 18th, 19th, 20th October and then daily between 25th October and 3rd November during half term.

The internationally renowned artist Andy McKeown is bringing his latest specially designed immersive sound and light event to Shrewsbury Flaxmill Maltings.

Andy has a long association with Shrewsbury Flaxmill and is returning this month with his 12th installation, an immersive sound installation of the recorded names in the Flaxmill Dyehouse over three days, accompanied by an immersive light installation.

‘Flaxmill Voices’ and will be completely free to visit over three days 27 – 29 September.
