Tickets for this years Shrewsbury Charity Bonfire and Fireworks Spectacular are now on sale.

The event, which takes place at the DMOS People West Mid Showground on Saturday, November 2, will include two amazing fireworks displays and live music from 90s chart-topper The Tamperer, The 90s Revival, and Shrewsbury singing sensation Katie Brisbourne.

Magic, pumpkins and creepy critters are heading to Weston Park this October half term.

The estates team have lined up three days of Halloween Horror activities from October 29 to October 31.

The estate’s magnificent, four-acre Walled Garden will be transformed into a Haunted Hollow complete with pumpkin patch, animal encounters and creepy critter shows from Zoolabs.

Oktoberfest comes to Shrewsbury this weekend.

Shropshire Oktoberfest comes to the Quarry this weekend and it will be nearly all undercover. Prepared whatever the weather, Shropshire Festivals will be including huge marquees and tipis to the event to keep the county’s biggest beer festival rainproof.

Park Hall Countryside Experience is preparing for its Halloween event with a delivery of 3,500 pumpkins, which are heading to the Oswestry farm attraction.

Pumpkinfest will be held on the 11th, 12th, 13th, 18th, 19th, 20th October and then daily between 25th October and 3rd November during half term.

The internationally renowned artist Andy McKeown is bringing his latest specially designed immersive sound and light event to Shrewsbury Flaxmill Maltings.

Andy has a long association with Shrewsbury Flaxmill and is returning this month with his 12th installation, an immersive sound installation of the recorded names in the Flaxmill Dyehouse over three days, accompanied by an immersive light installation.

‘Flaxmill Voices’ and will be completely free to visit over three days 27 – 29 September.

A popular free arts event which showcases the work of new and well-established artists is returning for its ninth year.

Secret Severn Art, which covers locations in and around Jackfield, will run from September 6 to September 15.

Visitors are invited to enjoy artwork from more than 40 local artists while soaking up the stunning Ironbridge Gorge World Heritage Site scenery.

Shrewsbury is gearing up to welcome thousands of music fans over August Bank Holiday weekend for the town’s internationally acclaimed folk festival.

Shrewsbury Folk Festival returns from 23 August for four days of family entertainment (and dog friendly too)!

Dance teams will take to the streets of Shrewsbury on August 24th and 25th to perform in The Square and outside St Mary’s Church at the top of the Pride Hill.

There's a new variety of animals arriving to Park Hall Countryside Experience this half term.

Dora the Dino will be settling in with the baby dinos and the parks usual residents for a special week of events.

The goats, sheep, ponies, cows, pigs, alpacas, chickens, rabbits, chinchillas, and guinea pigs are going to be joined by Dora the Dino, who will meet and greet visitors every day. There will also be walkabouts with the newly born baby dinos.

The Oteley Estate 10 acres of private gardens are once again part of the National Garden Scheme. The garden open day is taking place this Sunday from 11am to 4pm.

Rhododendrons and azaleas are starting to spring in to life; there’s also a walled kitchen garden, boathouse, mature trees, a wild woodland walk, and beautiful views across the Mere. And after all that exploring, you can relax with a coffee in their café.

There will also be a plant sale on Sunday, with proceeds going to the National Garden Scheme.

The Oteley Estate’s 10 acres of private gardens are once again part of the National Garden Scheme. The garden open day is taking place on Sunday, 5th May from 11am to 4pm.

Shrewsbury will host a Royal Visit next week. Her Majesty the Queen, Camilla, will call in at a special Farmer’s Market in Shrewsbury Town Square before visiting the Flaxmill on Wednesday the 27th of March.
