'Twas weeks before Christmas and all through the town, tales started to spread about Chris Mouse. This festive fellow will be arriving in Shrewsbury later this week and will bring with him a special exclusive storybook chapter, seven festive scenes of Shrewsbury past and present, AND a prize for the person who counts the most Chris Mouses (Chris Mice?) around the town. 🎄🐭

Following vandalism of the famous gravestone of Ebenezer Scrooge, Shrewsbury Town Council has announced plans to undertake essential repairs.

🎄 Shropshire has many fantastic local independent traders, and we're encouraging people to Think, Shop, Buy Local this Christmas.

⚠️ Research shows that if every adult in Shropshire spent £3.80 a week in local shops, it would boost the county’s economy by £1 million a week. That’s around £4 million before Christmas.

💡 So please 'think local' when you're doing your Christmas shopping.

The Shrewsbury Theatre Singers are excited to present their first musical as a group, From Darkness to Light, written by Kimee Cleaton. Imparting the Christmas story from the very beginning, with some new and intriguing characters you might not have heard of, this fresh new telling – with plenty of catchy songs as well as some real tear-jerkers – will bring an exciting new take on the Nativity this December. Suitable for all the family.

🪛Shrewsbury Repair Cafe is holding its last repair session of the year this Saturday 16th November at the United Reformed Church in Shrewsbury. It opens at 10.00am for you to bring your items along and closes at 2.00pm.

📻Do you have a radio that wont work?
👕Does your favourite jumper have a hole in it?
🪆Has your ornament broken it's leg?

If so, bring it along to the Shrewsbury Repair Cafe and see if it can be repaired. If you can carry it in, the volunteers will assess it for you and see what they can do. All repairs are done for free (parts have to be paid for) but donations are always gratefully received to cover the ongoing costs.

Refreshments are served throughout the session courtesy of the URC members and parking is available for users of the Repair Cafe at the church. There is full disabled access to the venue.

So come along and join in this fabulous event and service.
