People will know that I’ve been posting loads about our wonderful musical theatre project Idle Women! There loads of fab news to come about shows in the upcoming Brighton Finge and beyond! However there’s the h***y old problem of money!

We are currently funding everything from the cash that’s fallen down the back of the sofa! So there’s a Kickstarter campaign. Do take a look at the link below. This isn’t a hand out - in fact is fantastic value. The album will go on sale for £10 from December onwards. You can buy it here for £8 and we’ll ship by the release date. For £15 you can get it early and other goodies. For a knock down price you can come to the studio and we can make some music together and record it!

So do have a look. It means a lot and we won’t have to put our hands into our deeply frayed pockets for design, posters, CD duplications etc etc. many thanks!

Well it’s been a ride! I spotted a story about women working on Britains canals in WW2, wrote a song about it, wrote a treatment for a play, recruited a team of fabulous writers actors and singers who have made it wonderful. Ten fabulous sold out performances and a handful of exciting concerts and here we are releasing the first single for the show (album to be released in December). Do have a listen - it means a lot

On the way down to play in Swansea we worked this up in the van. We don’t do many covers but here’s a blast of First Aide Kit’s ‘Emmylou’. I think you were there Nick Baker! It was a beautiful sunny evening

We are a teeny tiny record and production company - but I like to think we pack a punch! Over the last 6 months we have released 4 albums - Dave Mason's ambient gorgeousness, Phil Jones solo album and second albums from both Jonny Williams and Andy Melrose - we are even producing our first theatre production, Idle Women, being performed in this years Brighton Fringe!

However, setting all these achievements aside, this Friday sees something very special.

We have watched how Jim and Josie of Eastbourne's Milton Hide have grown from strength to strength - in performance and songwriting. We love all our artists but this week belongs too Milton Hide.

To be launched this coming Friday, The Milton Hide new album, The Holloway, really captures the essence of pairs art. Beautiful haunting, funny and affectionate - it's a thing of joy. We are very much looking forward to the Hide going on from here to do something very special. Do come along and buy a record

We are very grateful to Willi Kerr from the Curst Sons for his super skills in building our sound booth down her at Long Way Home. It’s looks amazing and sounds amazing - ie it’s silent!
