It’s not all glamour in the studio! This week’s job is a complete reinstall of Windows 11 and all the recording software I use…years of carefully created presets, backups of client mixes, and 100’s of plugins all to be reloaded…but it will be worth it to keep my computer happy and up-to-date with the ever-changing world of music production!

Recording some beautiful songs today for the very first EP by Maple Ward Music - coming soon!

The studio received a major upgrade this week, with the addition of a beautiful Neve 8816 summing mixer! To accommodate it required a total re-wiring of the sudio, involving around 300 cable connections (roughly one expletive per connection over a period of 5 days!), but man was it worth it!

Nothing else sounds like a Neve console, and I can’t wait to get recording again! Hit me up if you want some warm, silky tones adding to your music productions!!

I love playing live with my stomp box, but it has a habit of sliding away on the floor when I give it some welly! Screwing it to this piece of shelving seems to have done the trick!
