We have recently made an ‘In Conversation’ video featuring Harry Wright the Chief of SYFR in the 80’s, chatting with Chris Kirby the current Chief of SYFR.
In the 45min chat they discuss what the service was like when SYFR was formed in 74, right up until the current day, 50 years on.

We’ve loved meeting everyone on Hillsborough’s Christmas trail. A big thanks to everyone who spoke to us and took part in the video. A huge congrats to Janine for organising this fantastic event for the local area and brining all the wonderful people and businesses together.

Thank you so much to everyone who’s been involved and who’s helped spread the word. We appreciate your support immensely, and although the track didn’t get to number 1 the video has reached over 1 Million views across all platforms and the campaign has been a huge success raising awareness for the Fire Fighters Charity. 🎉🕺🏼👏🏼 We wish you a wonderful Christmas and a Happy 2025.🎅🎁🎄

We might not have beat the streaming giants or conquered the charts, but together we've raised lots of awareness of firefighter mental health.

Bookies have SLASHED the odds of 'The Fire Safety Dance' reaching Christmas number one- just hours after the song was officially released.

The song by Big Shaun and The Steel People has moved to odds of 20-1 from 33-1, pushing ahead of Taylor Swift and East 17 in the race for the coveted top spot.

More than 250,000 people have watched the music video. If all those views converted to 99p downloads, the number one position will be secured.

The track is raising money for Fire Fighters Charity which supports the mental and physical wellbeing of firefights across the UK.
