INGREDIENTS
12 chicken drumsticks
2 tbsp honey
2 tbsp gochujang paste
2 tbsp soy sauce
2 tbsp tomato purée
2 cloves of garlic, crushed and chopped
1 tsp sesame oil
Cooking oil spray Sesame seeds, to serve
Spring onion, chopped, to serve
Mix the honey, gochujang, soy sauce, tomato purée, garlic and sesame oil in a large bowl until well combined.
Add the chicken drumsticks and stir to coat.
Pop in the fridge and leave to marinate for 30 minutes or overnight.
Preheat the oven to 210°c/190°c fan.
Line a baking tray with greaseproof paper, then place the drumsticks onto the tray and pour over any marinade that might be left in the bowl.
Spray with cooking oil spray and cook for 15 minutes.
Turn the drumsticks over and spoon any sauce from the tray over the top. Spray again with cooking oil spray and cook for a further 15 minutes. Once cooked, sprinkle with sesame seeds and chopped spring onion to serve.
NOTES
Try these on the barbecue for a beautiful, charred flavour or in the air fryer for quicker cooking.
